New Projects

The other day the manager gave me new projects. Since apparently I did a satisfying job in making (read: copying) the letters for the adults' section shelves, she wanted me to do the letters for the kids' and teenagers' section (the kind of letters you put at the sides of the shelves so that readers know which books are put there, for example the letter A and B for the shelves that contain books written by authors with surnames beginning with A and B). So I have to make SO MANY letters now YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!! From the adults' section, there were only a few letters missing, so I didn't have to make all of the letters.

I'm NOT really good at drawing or handicraft, but THANK GOD for the internet as it's helped me find funny letters for the kids' section and funky letters for the teenagers' section. All I need to do now is make them one step at a time.

She also asked me to think about how to decorate their music books and magazines section since it looked so plain that people never really visited that section. Hmmm...this one is TOUGH and I don't know yet what to do, but I have plenty of time to think about it.

So, tomorrow HOPEFULLY if the weather permits, we're going to spend a night at the cabin after work. Last night I was cranky since our plan was cancelled, so good hubby washed the dishes for me even though I didn't ask him and that put a smile on my face HI HI HI HI HI...No more crankiness!!! THANK YOU for being such a patient hubby, Honey!!! ;-D

At midnight last night, we watched fireworks together from our kitchen window...I don't feel anything about the new year, though...just like I didn't feel anything much on my birthday he he he he he...So, how did you spend your New Year's Eve, people?

Fireworks

How was your New Year's Eve, everybody? Last night we didn't do anything much. Each of us spent time with our own computers and then we watched fireworks from our kitchen window. I wanted to take some pics of them with my slow digital camera, but it was SO hard, so I couldn't get too many good ones. I knew if I had gone outside the balcony, I would have been able to get better pics, but it was too cold last night. It was -17'C (today it's even colder, -19'C).

Even so, lots of people were outside last night, lighting up fireworks and fire crackers. Brrrrrrrrr...they started lighting up fireworks even at 7 pm already, can you believe it? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

My Brit friend MC went to Luosto with her hubby to have a date night and they enjoyed firework display there.

Last night hubby wanted to sleep early at first, since he had woken up at 7 am yesterday morning and he hadn't taken any nap, but since the fireworks made lots of noises outside, he decided to get up again and we ended up watching a cartoon together ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

Anyway, here are some of the pics I took last night. Mind you that my camera's not a photographer's camera, so there were SO MANY failed ones he he he...I had to use my night mode but it meant that my grip on the camera had to be SO steady. Plus I had to press the button at the right time, otherwise I wouldn't catch a thing. Oh well...I just want to share with you what I saw he he he he...hope they're at least clear enough for you.

1. Hubby bought me some pepper steak last night. He went out partying with his boss and colleagues and he came home at around 4.30 am but he remembered that I liked pepper steak so he bought it for me. Mmmmmm...it was YUMMY!!!!

2. Spinach lasagna that I cooked last night. Yummy, too he he he he he...

3. Being together with my hubby. Last year was like hell. I was practically hating everybody who could be with their loved ones at New Year's Eve, even though I managed to get rid of that feeling. I NEVER want to experience that again. Being apart from my hubby was too much to bear. Additional note: Today I told hubby about this and then we squeezed each other tightly. Mmmmhhh...it felt SO good he he he he...
