Final Test, Final Days

BOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO...we're coming into our final days of the course with our Finnish language teacher. On Wednesday there will be a computer teacher. I'm gonna miss my Finnish teacher!!!

Tomorrow we'll have a final test, so I'd better reread everything we've gone through. However, good news is that Monday is a free day for us, so I'll be able to blog-hop and catch up on you then. Plus on Tuesday we'll have a trip to Luosto and we'll grill sausages in a park there. YIIIHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA!!! Better get my digital camera ready he he he...gotta take as many pics as possible! ;-D

Today after lunch we went to visit KELA. KELA is the social insurance institution in Finland that deals with unemployment benefit, mother's benefit, etc. I wanted to make sure about some things, so I asked them a few things.

a. First of all, I want to make sure that if a pregnant woman needs a C-section, she doesn't have to pay for the operation. They confirmed about this, so I'm relieved. Why? Because in Indonesia, the cost of even a normal birth is already so expensive. Here in Finland I only need to pay for the room cost in normal birth or C-section.

I don't wish to have a C-section if I don't have to, though, because my doctor friend says that natural birth is always better if possible.

b. I also want to know if a child needs vaccination, do I have to pay it every time? Turns out that I don't have to pay for any vaccination as long as it's in the program. However, if for example we're leaving to Indonesia and the child needs special types of vaccination that's not included in the list, then I have to pay it myself.

Well, that sounds good enough for me he he he...So, baby, come to me in October, okay? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

Btw, it was very good listening practice for us to go to KELA as they talked in Finnish all the time. ;-D

I also read somewhere that making love too often reduces the quality of the sperm, so gotta check the calendar and make sure that we do it when I'm VERY fertile (which would be 14 days prior to the first day of my period). Plus turns out that it's better to make love in the mornings as the sperm levels are often the highest. BUT BUT BUT we have to avoid heating the balls (sauna, tight underpants, hot baths etc. are not that good). Very interesting info!!!

Yeah, yeah, I know this is all so scientific talk and it's all up to God he he he...but I want to do my part as best as I can he he he...OK, better stop here and STUDY!!!

If I have time after my study to blog-hop, I'll do it, but if not, forgive me, OK? I'll blog-hop tomorrow or during the weekend. I promise! ;-D Take care, everybody, and THANKS for everyone who's joined my Photo Caption Contest!

3BT: Random Days

1. Beautiful white dandruff from heaven he he he he...Yes, today it's snowing again and the flakes are pretty big, so it feels like pure, white dandruff from heaven...mmmmm...

2. Helping the trainee at our course pronounce words in English he he he he...That was SUPERBLY FUN! ;-D

3. Hubby saving some snack for me since he thought I'd want some. THANK YOU, Bonbonhoneypie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Hubby scraping my back again when I felt out of sorts. He's getting better and better at it HO HO HO HO HO HO...And he's calling me a masochist HA HA HA HA HA HA...

5. Calling my Mom again and having fun talking to her. She's SO supportive. She doesn't mind if we go to Singapore later in October if we can do it, even though that means that my time with them will be reduced.

6. Mom told me that the other day she had a talk with my brother and his wife about how many kids they wanted to have. My brother said three and his wife and my Mom was curious why he said that. These days everything's so expensive, so many people opt to have maximum two kids. What he said made me wanna cry and hug him SO tightly in my arms!!! He said, "Look at me! I only have one big sis and now she's living FAR away from me and I'm all alone now."

Well, I hope that his life will be more fun with the birth of his baby later on in October he he he...

7. The smell of menthol body balm from Indonesia. Mmmmmmmm...

8. Opening up the front door for the old man on the first floor. He talked to me a bit, but I could only understand half of what he was saying hi hi hi...but at least I did talk to him a bit, so that was a good practise, right? *GRIN*

9. The possibility of going on another trip together with my friends next Monday or Tuesday and maybe we can grill some sausages in a park or something. I HOPE SOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! ;-D

3BT: Weekend Wrap

Gee, I don't even know where to start. It's been a MAGICAL BLESSED weekend for me, so let me start from Friday then.

1. Eating hamburger and sausage in the cabin. We roasted the burger and sausage in the cabin's fireplace and ate them with some hot mustarrrdddddd. YUMMY!!!

2. Dipping my legs in the COLD lake in between sauna (after having the above dinner). Side note: I didn't dare dip my whole body like my hubby did 'coz it was just too cold for me, but BOY it felt SO good coming back inside the sauna afterwards HE HE HE...

3. The lethargy I felt after taking a long SUPER HOT sauna.

4. My mother-in-law voicing her concern over the earthquake in Indonesia. She's SO sweet!!! (Don't worry, my family's allright!)

5. Picking HUGE RED strawberries felt SO GOOD. ^________________________^

6. A miracle happening again. Saturday eve I told my hubby that I wanted some sausage when we got back home (yes, I was craving for sausage AGAIN). Not long after that, my mother-in-law offered to roast some sausages for us. YIIIPPPIIIIEEE!!! I was SO shocked about our "telepathy" that I asked my huby, "Is your Mom a psychic or something?" LOL!!!

7. Talking to one of my best friends via YM (she lives in Germany). THANK YOU, Yahoo Messenger!!!

8. Receiving VERY kind words from Jackie and Victorya today. You both MADE MY DAY today!!!

THANK YOU,
THANK YOU,
THANK YOU!

(Btw, to those of you unfamiliar with them, check out their WONDERFUL blogs!)

9. Having a table lamp. YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!

10. Jalapeno chili. I'm going to make pizza sometime this week and I'll put jalapeno chili on my side (we like different toppings). I'm drooling already! LOL!

11. Dreaming of my closest friends. Boy, I miss them! ;-D

Lady Luck

I had this weird connection with my Mom back in Indo when it comes to food. LOTS of times when I craved for something, yet I didn't tell her what I wanted, the next day she cooked the EXACT food that I had been craving for. Unbelievable!!! However, it's not "that" unbelievable as after all, she's my Mom, right?

Now after moving here for almost 5 months, I have to tell you that Lady Luck seems to have followed me here. I've had that kind of connection with my mother-in-law. Well, she doesn't realize it as I haven't told her about it, but there're already 4 instances when we "clicked" when it comes to food.

As you know, I'm on a tight grocery shopping budget, so I can't afford buying fish (sure we can buy fish once a month but only a small amount of it). Two months ago I was craving for fish twice and twice my mother-in-law satisfied my craving by cooking fish when we visited them.

Then two weeks ago I was craving for something soupy. We visited my in-laws again on Saturday as usual and ta daaaaaa...what did I found? REINDEER SOUP!!! YUMMY!!!

Then just last week after having lunch and sauna, we were lazing around on a daybed (hubby was watching F1 qualification). I was reading a book and thinking how wonderful it would be if I could cook sausage at home. Unfortunately, I had eaten our last sausage the day before and we couldn't possibly buy more at the supermarket as it was late already (around 7.30 pm). Then what happened a few minutes after I had that thought? My mother-in-law came into the room and asked if we would like some grilled sausages. Talk about "coincidences"!!! Of course I said YES right away HA HA HA HA HA...LOL!!! Boy, my belly was SO HAPPY then. *HUGE GRIN*

So, I sure do hope this luck continues he he he he he...^________________________^
