Big Bang Meme

Well, with the launching of this meme, we hope that we can make a Big Bang in the blogosphere. Nobody loses in this meme since everybody has to update the original Master List regularly to make sure that everybody's name is in everybody's list. The goal is to reach 1,000 links. Will you help us reach that number?

Even if you're not tagged, you can join this meme as long as you leave a comment in Mel Kaye's blog (read the instruction below) to make sure your name is listed in the Master List.

*Start Copy Here*

You do not have to be tagged to play along. This game is simple and so are the rules.

  1. Copy from *Start Copy Here* through *End Copy Here*
  2. Add your site(s) to the list. Just be sure to post at each site you add.
  3. Tag or don’t tag, your choice, however, the more tags you create the bigger the list will grow.
  4. Let me know your blog’s name and url by leaving me a comment HERE. I will add you to the master list. (If you would like the scroll box code, leave me your email address and I will email it to you.)
  5. Come back and copy the master list back to your site, often. This process will allow late-comers to get as much link benefit as the first ones in.

More Weird Things About Me

Livingsword tagged me to do this meme a while ago, but I needed time to think. Anyway, here are some quirks about me:

1. I'm clumsy. I spill some stuff every once in a while he he he he...

2. I can't listen to music while trying to concentrate on reading something or especially when studying something. Everything has to be quiet.

3. I only learnt to laugh at myself after moving to Finland. So for 28 years of my life, I couldn't do it he he he he...

4. I dislike sleeping when the lights are on.

5. I dislike it when I see some of hubby's shirt inside his pants whereas the rest is out, so I just HAVE to grab it all out HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

6. The first time I felt that I wanted to have a child of my own was when one of my best friends had given birth to her son (when we were 25 years old). Before that time, I seriously doubted my maternal instincts. I had never wanted any child of my own before then even though I thought that babies were cute. Only after that I could say to myself, "Hey, I'm a woman after all!" LOL!!!

7. I've never reread novels (but I do reread Japanese comics). Not as far as I remember. I used to "collect" novels without reading them right away. I still have a stack of novels to read that I left in Indo. Next time I visit Indo again, I'm gonna bring them with me to Finland HE HE HE HE HE...

8. The most times I watch any movie is probably only three times (While You Were Sleeping, Erin Brockovich, Home Alone, and a few others). I can't understand someone who's watched certain movies for 10 times or even more than that. I find that there are still SO many new movies to watch he he he he...

I think one of the reasons is that I don't want to watch some old movies that I used to LOVE so much and then I realized that they don't give me as much impact anymore HI HI HI HI HI...

How to Paint Monalisa Using MS Paint

I saw this video clip and I was gasping in awe!!!!!!! The only thing I don't like about the clip is the song selection he he he he he...

My Parents and Elvis

Back in my parents' younger days, they said that there wasn't much entertainment other than music and cinemas. They were both naturally movie buffs. Elvis Presley was SO HUGE back then. My Mom said that she watched EVERY Elvis movie at the cinema. Funny thing was that back then they didn't allow youngsters to watch movies at the cinema. I don't know if there were cartoons shown at the cinema or not, but all my Mom talked about was Elvis movies, so I guess they mostly showed adult movies. Since my Mom is a short as I am, sometimes she had trouble being let into the cinema. She said that sometimes she bribed the cinema attendant so that she'd be let in and other times she wore high heels so that the cinema attendant would let her in (and many times it worked!!!!)

My Mom also told me that back then wigs were VERY fashionable and she herself owned at least one wig. I wouldn't have known that if she hadn't told me, since I had never seen her with a wig before ha ha ha ha ha...

Have I told you that my Dad ABSOLUTELY loves singing? He loves singing Elvis songs and other songs. He sings in the shower and everywhere (well, not in the streets while walking, of course, but in the other rooms in the house). He sings with gusto, with all his heart and soul, even in church. One time I couldn't help giggling when I heard him trying to sing along with, EMF's "You're unbelievable..." in the radio. You must know the song, right? It's quite a fast song....and he was only trying to sing along with the refrain "You're unbelievable..." HI HI HI HI HI HI...It was SO funny!!!

One time when I was still in Elementary School (or was it Junior High School?), I was tinkering with our old tape player and I recorded my Dad singing a song. I don't remember anymore what he sang, but it must've been as old as Moon River he he he...

When I looked at old pictures of Bandung back then, everything looked quiet, unlike these days when the traffic was so crazy. There were few cars and few motorcycles and many bicycles and rickshaws. My Mom used to go everywhere on bike. These days it's VERY unsafe to ride a bike in the streets, since Indonesia has no clear bike trail on the sidewalks. Hell, there are SO many street peddlers in the sidewalks that even pedestrians have trouble walking there in some areas!!! But still, I love Bandung 'coz it's my hometown he he he he...

Hmmm...this post is another rambling one he he he...and now I'm STARVING, so better post this one and eat!!!

Valentine's Day Gift Baskets

Yeah, another post on Valentine's day!!! I remember one Valentine's Day my brother bought my Mom a stem of blue rose. It certainly made my Mom happy. Of course the rose wasn't originally blue. It was sprayed blue he he he...I've never really received any Valentine's gift baskets all my life, have you? My brother has received a few of them before from his female fans, before he had a steady girlfriend. Lucky guy!!! ;-D

Anyway, for those of you living in the USA who're looking for Valentine's Day gift baskets for your loved ones, you can click on the link. What I find interesting in the site is that I can find cute cookie flower bouquets and cute cookies in a basket. For example, take a look at this Conversational Cookie Hearts Planter picture:

What do you think? Aren't they SUPER cute? ;-D

Other than St. Valentine's Day Gift Baskets, you can also find links to Valentine's gifts for her, gifts for him, and gifts for kid, so you don't have to search high and low to find specific gifts. Plus you can also shop by price to help you find gifts within your budget easily. And if you really love your pets and you're thinking of buying them something special on Valentine's Day to show them how much you love them, you can also find them in this site. Fabulous, isn't it? ;-D

Hmmm...now I wonder what I should give my husband on Valentine's Day since I have a tight budget. Maybe some love coupons? *wink*

Juliana tagged me do to this meme.

Rule #1

Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an ” A,” you’d replace the link under that alphabet and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

Rule #2
You now have to “tag” at least five people and encourage them to participate so that this thing spreads like a virus. Remember, though, that not everyone’s into these kinds of things, so don’t be upset if they don’t participate. Just simply replace your tag. Remember to tag blogs only and no pornographic ones as we do want to keep the integrity as a blogging community. TIP: Tag your frequent EntreCard droppers via its messaging system.

I am tagging : Hailey, Island Paradise, and Summer in Blue.

Rule #3
Just like any other “meme” out there, ask a question for your taggees to answer along with your own answer to your previous question. This is optional.

My question: What are the best compliments you've ever received in your life?

Self Defense

A friend of my friend's was enjoying herself with a cousin near a mall in Bandung a few years ago. They were walking and talking when out of the blue, a man approached them with a knife, telling them to give him money and mobile phones. Before they could do anything much, he slashed her face, can you believe it? It left a mark on her face and for some time it made her feel embarrassed. Gladly after a while it gradually looked less vivid.

In today's dangerous world, it's no wonder that Crystal wants to learn self defense. Here I found some information about Close Combat Training
. Close Combat Training system is developed by Captain Chris, a World Leader in Self Defense. You can get a free training from him if you're over 18. All you need to do is register your name, email address, and birthday.

You can also Test Your Knowledge on self-defense by clicking on the link. You can get a chance of winning an e-book copy of the First Field Manual in Close Combat Training System when you choose all the right answers for the first quiz.

Well, whether or not you decide to click on the links or learn self defense, I sure do hope that God will protect us wherever we are, wherever we go!

Addicted to Hubby?????

Yesterday during lunch break, I asked hubby if he could buy some potatoes for me. He said that he would be coming home late. I was going to write it down on my grocery list, but then he asked me when Lidl was closed on weekdays. I found their brochure and turned out they were closed at 9 pm. So he said, "Okay, I'll buy them for you. After all, that way you don't have to carry 2 kilos more burden in your grocery bag." (Side note: The potatoes come in a 2 kg bags)

YIIIPPIIIIIIIIIIIEEEE!!! I LOVE him SO MUCH!!! Anyway, I waited for him to come home while browsing the internet, blog-hopping, and studying Finnish online. I waited, and waited, and waited. The apartment felt empty without him. Even though sometimes we're busy in front of our own computers in our apartment, but still we can tease each other or tickle each other or kiss each other.

When the clock turned to 7.30 pm, I finally turned on the TV since there was Joey. I thought it would be fun to watch it, but it wasn't the same without him. I missed hubby's giggles. And I missed the occasional funny or crazy or wacky comments while watching movies. I missed laughing not because of the movie itself, but simply because of hearing his laughter. I missed holding his warm hand throughout the show or movie.

You know, sometimes we'd both create a crazy ending of a TV series while watching it. For example, if there's this climactic scene that's cut off by a commercial, we'll say, "Then they'll all die and here comes the last one-liner in the middle of the screen: Life sucks and then you die." And we'd both giggle together he he he he he he...

Well, finally he came home at around 8 pm, hungry!!! He grabbed some toast, cheese, and smoked reindeer meat and ate ravenously!!! After that we watched Heroes and Jericho and I told him that watching TV wasn't the same without him, especially when he did start giggling or blurting out the occasional wacky comments he he he he...

I just wanna say to hubby:

Another Friendship Ball Award

Arlene shared this Friendship Ball with me. THANKS SO MUCH, Arlene!!!

I'm sharing this award with all my Great Blogging Friends he he he he...You know who you are!!!! *wink*
