Trinity wants to know Arttu's love expression to me. Well, sometimes he does read my blog since I always let it open in the mornings (he wakes up earlier than me, remember?). Sometimes after I write something nice for him or about him, I ask him to read my blog or I send him the link he he he he...But anyway, since this month is the "love" month, let me share with you something that he wrote after our first meeting in 2004. He wrote it in a diary or journal. ;-D
Rereading our old emails really touched my heart dearly...mmmmm...One of the reasons I love him is because he can be so sentimental...you'll know what I mean after you read a part of his diary below (he wrote it in Finnish and translated it for me and sent it to me via email):
2004 April 11th, Sunday
Still alive, even my poetry vein hasn't been throbbing in a long while at least here on my dear diary's pages. Life's gone forward and partly still stayed in a same place. I moved to Kemi in last year's September, if my grey brain cells remember it correctly.
And what else is going on in my life? I finally met the woman of my life, the woman who repaired my heart, gave me hope for a better, not so lonely life, a woman who has made an indelible impression to me already years ago. A woman who I want to be my lifetime partner, wife, mother of my children, a woman who I know I'll love until eternity. A woman who saved me from self-destruction... as a matter of fact, this list could go on until the distant future, because the words simply can't describe the feeling which in the bottom of my soul at this very moment wants to scream the name of my woman, so loud that in the other universe they would know how much I LOVE Amelia and how much I MISS her at this very moment. Of course she's back in Indonesia, but the two weeks we spent together were indescribably unbelievable.
Until this I thought I couldn't fall in love with anyone with such a total commitment, that I wouldn't hesitate even a millisecond if I could walk with her in the aisle at this very moment and swear my eternal love to her. She's the one I want. She's my future. She's my missing half, my soul mate. She's everything I ever saw in the woman of my dreams. She's the dream come true of a better tomorrow. She's my life. She's the one I'm here for. She's the meaning of my life. She's my home.
Yesterday my Finnish teacher gave us homework. We are supposed to write her either a letter or a diary. She wants to know how far our Finnish ability actually is. Hmmm...I think I'll go with the diary form instead of a letter. That way I can tell her how my days are until our next lesson on Tuesday. I'm not going to ask for my hubby's help 'coz it's called cheating he he he...I was actually hoping to write something in class instead of at home. Why? Because it'll reveal our true ability even better than if we have time to open up our grammar books at home before we write something. Oh well...let's see what I can come up with he he he he...I feel like I'm going to cheat anyway 'coz I'll look up some words in the dictionary and I'll browse the grammar in my grammar books, but I guess it's only natural for a beginner to do, eh?
Enough about that. This morning I dreamt of my Mom's knee again. In my dream, she started feeling pains again on her knee and I woke up worried. So I sent an SMS to my brother, asking him if our parents were fine. He said that my Mom was a bit under the weather last week. I told him that if she doesn't get well soon, she should go to the doctor right away. My Mom is such a "naughty" woman. If she feels that she can still handle any pain or illness, she doesn't want to go to the doctor. Once it's all BEYOND her ginormous strength, then she'll finally reluctantly go to the doctor. GRRRRRRRRRR!!! That's caused us to worry about her over the years. She's a REALLY strong woman with such a high threshold of pain, but still if a doctor can help her out, why suffer, right? That's what doctors are for he he he he...
Two days ago hubby came back home with a box of Christmas lights for our balcony. YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!! I'm SO HAPPY about it!!! I'll take a pic once he puts the lights on our balcony, OK? We won't put up a Christmas tree, so having some balcony lights would be nice. I've seen our neighbour put up his balcony lights even from weeks ago!!!
One funny thing was that before I moved here, I had always thought that the temperature would be "steady". I mean if it went down to -20'C, then the next day and whole week's temperature would range around that degree. I was wrong. It could go up and down pretty quickly, actually. Today it's only 1'C and it's snowing outside. I once asked my hubby, "Hey, I thought it could only snow when it's below 0'C!"
He said, "Well, up in the sky it IS colder than 0'C!"
Oh yeah...it didn't cross my mind HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...
OK, now I have to go to the library to return a book and buy some milk and then I'll go visit your blogs he he he he he...Oh, and I have to do my homework as well...have to write daily he he he he...
One of the most memorable gift I have ever received is a diary. One of my oldest closest friends, who's known me since we were 13 years old, gave it to me right after my honeymoon. She wrote the diary in 1999. It wasn't a thick book, but the entries reminded me of the year, my most rebellious year (read: the year I made so many mistakes in life, but it was also the year when I learnt A LOT).
She wrote the diary 'coz she had known that one of my dreams was to travel and to live abroad, and I guess that year she thought that I was getting closer and closer to my dream. It's just SO touching that she believed in my dream even then. Plus it was SO thoughtful of her to have written down the entries just so that I'd remember the things we did back then. She even attached a movie theatre ticket there and wrote down what we did that day. ;-D
I couldn't help my tears from rolling down my cheeks as I read her diary entries. She wrote about things she admired from me and how she appreciated our friendship. She even attached an old pic of herself there to remind me of how she looked like when we first met in Junior High School he he he he he...
Along with the diary, she also gave me a Friendship Book (complete with WONDERFUL friendship quotations). She also wrote a letter on the last page of the book that really touched me deeply. She was the one that managed to teach me the joy of giving and sharing. I'm so proud of her, especially 'coz she's had a good personal relationship with God during the past few years. She's been there during my ups and downs and she was the one that tried to get me closer to God when I was far far away from Him.
One of the things I admire most from her is that she is not the type of Christian that keeps on preaching others without walking the walk. She teaches me about Christianity because she walks the walk. I'll always cherish my friendship with her. Even from the beginning of our friendship, I knew already that she'd be one of those people I can be good friends with for as long as we both shall live.
She's almost 8 months' pregnant right now and I can't wait to see her baby he he he...I hope she'll have a smooth delivery and everything'll be fine with her. She had contractions already ever since the fetus was 6 months' old, so she's stopped working now.
So...let's reminisce...what is one of the most memorable gifts you've ever received?
