1. This month I managed to save more money for our upcoming Indo/Singapore trip. YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!! Thankful to have a job still.
2. Next week I'll have my first batch of summer holiday (not going anywhere because need to save money for the Indo/Sgp trip and hubby has to work), but looking forward to recharging and doing some spring cleaning and reading. :-D Oh, and daydreaming about having this in Indo:
3. Hubby's patience, sense of humor, and good nature. I rarely see him in a bad mood (well, except when his computer does weird stuff but that's understandable because at work he's been battling with computers anyway) but he tolerates me so well when I'm in a bad mood. In fact, he often makes me laugh when I'm in a bad mood (don't ask me how, he just does!). How amazing is that?
4. Writing this fun piece for a writing challenge entitled: "If I was the woman next door..."
If I was the woman next door, I'd spend more time playing to my heart's
content and sleeping. I would come and go as I please, knowing that when
I come back home, someone will welcome me with open arms and heart. I
would spend less money on clothing and make-up and just present myself
au naturel, because I believe I look best that way. Oh, but I do like
grooming myself to the best of my ability. That's for sure.
If I
was the woman next door, I'd say no when I'm not in the mood to say yes
and I would reject visitors without feeling bad about it. Baby shower?
No, sorry, not interested. Laser party with my best friends? Bring it
on!
If I was the woman next door, I wouldn't befriend anyone that
I didn't feel like befriending, either. And I surely wouldn't even
think that I'm not doing anything productive by doing nothing, because
that's when I recharge and regroup after all the fun and rewarding
activities I've done. Here I am doing
nothing...auuummmm...recharge...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...Whoops! Sorry, this
whole recharging thing just made me kinda sleepy. Let me get back on
track.
Where was I? Oh yeah...if I was the woman next door, I'd
demand plenty of hugs and kisses and delicious food from my housemate.
I'd also focus more on the present than the future or the past. What
exciting thing that I can do right now? Is there anything worth doing at
the moment? Sleeping perhaps? Or cuddling with my housemate? Eyeing the
next door neighbour to check out what he's doing? Anyway, focusing on
the present is far more urgent, because don't they say that the present
is a gift? But well, maybe I get this all wrong, because after all, I'm
just a cat. Meow.
1. Every now and then I tease hubby like this: Me: "Honeeeeyyyyyy..." R2: "What?" Me: "I have something important to tell you." (serious face) R2: "Yeeeess?" Me: "I have to poo."
ROFL ROFL ROFL... 2. Went to a store today and found kiddies shirt on a discount. Bought two exact same kinds for Ken and his brother (because we're going to visit them next year). I LOVE LOVE LOVE collecting gifts for family bit by bit HE HE HE HE HE HE... 3. Raking the autumn leaves in the yard for about an hour and then took these pics.
4. Finding a forum for childless-by-circumstance women and I've enjoyed it immensely. :-D 5. Saying no without feeling guilty. 6. A coworker asked me how old I was and she said I looked younger than that HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHHHHH... 7. Being able to save more money this month (need to save money to buy our tickets to Indo next year). HALLELUJAHHHHHH!!!
5. Meeting my MIL in my workplace and having time to give her a proper hug 'coz there weren't too many customers at that time.
6. Orange jelly pudding - I could make it using the powder sent by a friend who just got back from Indo. THANKS SO MUCH, Hen!!! Other than that, she also sent me some other food stuff. YUM YUM...
7. Getting a full-month paycheck today (though I only work part-time) and knowing that they've sorted out the problem with my tax card, so this time my salary didn't get cut 60%. PHEW!!! It felt GREAT getting a full-month part-time salary for the FIRST time ever!!! ;-D
8. Going to save some of the money right away 'coz I need it to apply for Finnish citizenship next year - feels GREAT to know I have the money already for that purpose stashed in my bank account he he he he...
9. Being tucked on the sofa by hubby when I was about to take a nap a few days ago - and I did NOT ask for him to do that, mind you!
10. Tucking hubby on the sofa before his naps - but mostly what I enjoy even more is watching the smile on his face when I do that. It's a special kind of smile...
11. Haven't met any rude customers despite the fact that I do make mistakes sometimes.
12. Nice, proper sleep...long sleep...What a bliss to be able to sleep well at nights without experiencing trouble to fall asleep!
13. Sore muscles from boxing with Wii - AND having hubby scratch my back for me 'coz it was too sore for me to reach my arms back to scratch the itch away by myself.
14. Talking to my family in Indo via Skype and webcam and even voice chat.
15. Chili. THANK GOD for chili and for making it even more enjoyable to eat food he he he he he...
16. Watching beautiful clouds spreading across the great blue sky...
