3BT: Random Days

1. Experimenting with pie-making (using two different recipes) and getting good results that even hubby claims as "good ones".

2. A few weeks ago, I met an old gentleman at the hotel. He opened the lift door for me and then before leaving the hotel with his wife, he came straight into the room where I was cleaning to give me a tip (although he could have just left it inside his room, but I guess he wanted ME to get it instead of my coworker). That really melted my heart!

3. Getting the phone call from the magazine to let me know that my non-fiction story will be published in my birth month and that I'll get some reward for it. :-D

4. Having made up my mind about the job offer and having told my boss about my decision.

5. Having bought some gifts for my family in Indo.

6. Chatting with my MIL via Skype.

7. Hearing hubby said that we'd go to the cabin again this upcoming Friday and spend a night there. WHOOOPEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

8. Seeing hubby's smile when I told him about preparing some meals for him before I fly to Indo (and putting them in the freezer for him to eat).

9. Waking hubby up in the morning with hugs and kisses on regular days during my training ('coz I have to work at 7 am and he has to work at 8 am).

10. Seeing a layer of ice on top of the hotel roof while cleaning some of the rooms. I can't wait to see snow piling up on top of roofs near Christmas!!!

11. Giving hubby a back massage and touching his body brings me pure delight.

12. Hubby doing the dishes without being asked (I know some guys who help out while muttering and complaining, so I must cherish hubby's help).

3BT: Random Days

Before I write my usual 3BT post, I'd like to write about a sad event. My friend's baby was born dead and I just can't fathom the depth of sadness he must've been feeling right now...he had grown to love the baby even before he was born (the baby was a boy) and then he died.

So REST IN PEACE, little one!!! You're with the angels now...safe and sound. May the angels comfort your Mom and Dad, little one...

1. I heard one of the most BEAUTIFUL things I'd been waiting for a long time when I spoke to Mom on Skype the other day. My father's stopped having "angry management issues" ever since Ken was born. He keeps on saying that Ken brings him joy and happiness. THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was already at my wits' end trying to find out what ways we could do to help my Dad control his bursts of anger...the answer came in the form of a baby. :-))))

2. My presentation went well. ---> Of course I had to read my .pps files since I couldn't remember all the long Finnish texts, but still I thought I had prepared it well enough. :-))))

3. Receiving positive feedback about my presentation. It feels like I'm a character in a computer game and today I received a "Level Up". :-D

4. R2 washed the dishes without being asked. :-D

5. Getting my new snow shoes. I hope we can go downhill skiing again tomorrow. :-D

6. Talking to my Mom. I know I'm repeating myself in my 3BT posts, but I just want to cherish her as much as I can. She's truly something!!! I LOVE the way she supports me and the way she doesn't pressure me. I LOVE the way she understands my situation. She even said that I shouldn't send her SMS too often if I were too busy ('coz she knows I'm doing the training and the Finnish classes now). Whenever I think of her, I think of a safety blanket, warm and comforting. Mmmm...

7. Excitement to see my other project in its finished form. I'm going to share it with you later when it's done. :-D

3BT: Random Days

1. The other day R2 not only cooked pizza for us (he made the dough, the mince meat/tomato pureed topping), he also did ALL the dishes after we ate (we have no dishwasher!!!). I only helped spread the toppings he he he he...THANK YOU, Babyyyy!!!

2. This morning I saw TWO little squirrels in the trees (they kept on moving about and chasing each other) in front of our apt. building.

3. I also saw a big type of bird I'd never seen before. It flew down and sat on top of one of the tree tops. Mmmmm...I feel like living near wilderness he he he...

4. Being forgiven!!!

5. Being able to send SMSes to my Mom. My brother bought her a mobile phone and now she's learning to send SMSes to me. The first SMS she sent me was a BLANK LOL LOL LOL!!! The second one, she only wrote one word. After that she could send me "proper" SMSes, though she writes without a dot or a comma HA HA HA HA HA HA...At least it's now easier for me to contact my Mom in another way than just using Skype.

6. Heard from my Mom that my brother and Shen (his wife) are going to buy a car on a loan. Since my bro works in a bank, he can get a loan with a lower interest rate. So next year they're going to have a car. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY!!! I'm SO happy for them!

7. EXCITEMENT to start my training next Monday. Gimme lots of job to do, please HE HE HE HE HE HE...

8. Dreaming of owning our own place (apartment or small house). GLAD that R2 and I are on the same page. Though we don't know when we can make it come true, still it's nice to daydream hi hi hi hi...

9. The other week R2 visited his cousin's place from work. When he was there, his cousin's daughter (I think she's 4 years old) was asking about me. This time she remembered my name HI HI HI HI...I think that's SO SWEET!!!

He Listens

One thing I LOVE about hubby, even though he's not a flower guy, is the fact that he LISTENS to my needs and he makes sure that he makes me happy he he he he...

You see, the other day I noticed that he didn't come home for lunch and I asked him about it. I just thought that he didn't have time to come home. Turned out that he had eaten in one hotel's restaurant. He had gotten lots of free lunch coupons, so he had to use them. I was pouting when I heard that, since he had never taken me out to have a lunch in any restaurant here (except to buy some pizzas in a kebab restaurant - but we usually eat it home). He then told me that he could give me the coupon so that I could try eating there. I said to him that I didn't want to eat alone there. I wanted to eat in a restaurant with HIM he he he he...

(Side note: In all fairness, I don't really want him to take me out to a restaurant by paying the bill himself, since the price is too high and I'd really prefer his saving the money instead of using it to treat us to a restaurant.)

He said nothing else about the subject. I knew it wasn't easy for him to take me to have lunch together with him since his lunch break depended much on whether his work was done or not. Sometimes he comes back home for lunch break at 1 pm or 1.30 pm or even later than that. Only a few times he managed to come back home for lunch break at around midday.

Anyway, yesterday he came home happily since turned out that he had decided to take a day off today (he had worked overtime a few times, so he earned the day off). Then he asked me when my lunch break was. He said, "What if I pick you up on your lunch break and we can eat in the restaurant together?"

You can imagine my joy then HEEEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEEEEE...It wasn't so much the going to the restaurant that counted, but the fact that he CARED about taking me there to have that experience with him. ;-D

Anyway, as I've told you, yesterday after my course, hubby took me and my Brit friend to my Russian friend's house and then picked us up again afterward. On the way home, he said that we should drop by at a supermarket. He was going to make PANCAKES. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! ;-D I didn't even have to do anything hi hi hi hi...I was doing my homework when he was cooking pancakes, then he announced that it was ready, so I ate some.

And this morning when my alarm beeped, as usual I couldn't get up right away...he helped bug me so that I would leave the bed HA HA HA HA HA HA...I'm SO THANKFUL for him for that!!!! ;-D

When I was about to leave the house to go to my course, I saw the stack of dishes from last night and I thought to myself, "Hmmm...it'd be GREAT if he would do the dishes this time as I had no time to do it last night, but if he doesn't do it, then it's fine as well."

I came back home this afternoon and found the kitchen spic and span. HURRRAAAYYYY!!! I LOVE that guy!!!

Other than that, today I wanted to watch a movie earlier. At first he said that he wasn't in the mood to do that. However, after a while he changed his mind and we watched "I Am Legend" together HEEEEEEEEEEEE HE HE HE HE HE...That was why I grabbed him tightly and told him, "You're REALLY the love of my life" before I kissed him passionately HE HE HE HE HE HE...

Hmmm...I should send him an e-card to tell him how much I appreciate what he does. :-)))))

So you see, my days have been S U P E R B!!!!!!!!!! I sure do hope yours has been like that, as well!

Take care, dear friends...let me blog-hop some more before I relax he he he...
