1. Hubby's now over his flu/infection or whatever it was, so KISSING FEST is on! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!
2. Living near my workplace, because that means I can still walk to and from work when it was -34'C outside.
3. It's always funny how suddenly you feel hot all over so easily outside when the temperature spikes up about 10'C or more after such cold days he he...
4. Telling hubby this, "Keep on farting, even if it stinks, because it means you're alive."
5. Touched by Nikki's comment on my previous blog post. Thank you SO MUCH for having supported me along my journey and for your empathy and friendship. It means a lot to me. I'm glad our paths have crossed. :-)
6. Visiting my grieving friend with another friend. Even though the occasion was sad, it was great to catch up.
7. Managed to switch a shift with my coworker in order to attend my friend's husband's funeral. I was so worried I wouldn't be able to come, because I do want to come. Phew! I'm glad I have lovely coworkers and that work is rather flexible.
8. Hearing that the friend's husband who passed away say these words before his passing: "I feel so much love for everybody and everything." What an ending to a life and how inspiring and touching!
9. I've just booked an impromptu
trip somewhere (it's a secret) and I'm VERY VERY excited about it,
because during this trip I'll not only be able to meet some friends, but also be able to make one of my lifelong
dreams come true. (wicked grin) Don't worry, readers, I'll definitely let you know about it later on. :-D

Walking Home
Lots of snow was falling slowly. Slow enough for me to almost be able to distinguish the forms of the snowflakes falling from the sky. The roads and sidewalk were almost empty that Sunday evening. The rather chilly temperature didn't dampen my spirit, because I was on my way home from work and the scene was just too beautiful to describe. When the snow fell down slowly like that, it felt as though life were moving forward in a slow motion. I felt reminded to cherish each moment in time and not to rush forward. To focus on the moment.
I took out my mobile phone and plugged the earphones to my ears. Then I chose a song from my list and chuckled when I realized that a pair of snowflakes that had attached themselves to each other fell on my mobile phone's screen. Oh, how I wish I could have taken a picture of that pair of snowflakes! All around me the snow kept on falling steadily, gently, slowly.

glitter-graphics.com
While listening to one of my favourite songs on the list, I sang along out loud on the sidewalk. Bliss! Where else can I do that without bothering anyone except here? The world seemed so hushed. No need to hurry. Enjoy the moment. Enjoy the song. Sing your heart out to your delight!
I took out my mobile again after the song had finished to choose another song after that one was finished because I didn't want to listen to the next one on the list. My mobile had no capacity to do a random play of the songs on my list. Soon after my thumb hit on another song title, my ears welcomed the song with a smile (if they can smile, they were definitely smiling widely). And I couldn't resist the temptation to sing out loud again.
I felt free. I felt at peace. I felt as though the world was big enough for everyone of us. And my heart almost exploded with joy when I arrived home and I was welcomed with bear hugs and kisses. Oh, the simple joys of life!

3BT: Random Days
1. Being back home, doing our usual routine again after a nice holiday.
2. Getting free accommodation for a week after we got news that all the flights to Finland were cancelled and we could also move all the flights to another date without any problem.
3. Hubby for helping me with the dishes and laundry.
4. One kid jumped into my arms (actually climbed into my arms) and kissed my cheek a few times and on a different day, he licked both my cheeks!!! :-D And we had fun when I twirled around a few times with him in my arms. :-D
5. Another one wanted to jump into my arms, too, so I let her. :-D What a joy to be able to hold a child in your arms! :-D
6. Reading a book for one kid yesterday and we had small chit-chats in between.
7. Being able to go to my in-laws again and spend a nice day with them.
8. Seeing the kids in their different costumes yesterday on Labour Day at the daycare. They were all SO CUTE!!! :-D Some had wings, some dressed like princesses, etc.
9. Finding cheap socks on a discount in Crete, so I bought 5 pairs 'coz I KNOW I'm going to use them all here in Finland. Each pair cost only 1 Euro and they are cute! :-D
10. Buying three novels during my holiday (two in English, one in Finnish) HUA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...
11. Wii game night with bro-in-law and girlfriend yesterday. We played golf for a few hours and only went to sleep at around 3.30 am HA HA HA HA HA...
12. Wii eve with hubby on Thursday and then having a sauna afterwards - we laughed a lot while gaming together. We hope to continue this habit 'coz we both want to lose some weight.
13. The kids seemed to be happy playing with the sea shells I bought from Crete as a souvenir for them. :-D
14. Found yam in the supermarket and now I'm trying out my Mom's dessert recipe using yam. Hope it turns out well! ;-D

3BT: Random Days
1. Experimenting with pie-making (using two different recipes) and getting good results that even hubby claims as "good ones".
2. A few weeks ago, I met an old gentleman at the hotel. He opened the lift door for me and then before leaving the hotel with his wife, he came straight into the room where I was cleaning to give me a tip (although he could have just left it inside his room, but I guess he wanted ME to get it instead of my coworker). That really melted my heart!

4. Having made up my mind about the job offer and having told my boss about my decision.
5. Having bought some gifts for my family in Indo.
6. Chatting with my MIL via Skype.
7. Hearing hubby said that we'd go to the cabin again this upcoming Friday and spend a night there. WHOOOPEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

8. Seeing hubby's smile when I told him about preparing some meals for him before I fly to Indo (and putting them in the freezer for him to eat).
9. Waking hubby up in the morning with hugs and kisses on regular days during my training ('coz I have to work at 7 am and he has to work at 8 am).
10. Seeing a layer of ice on top of the hotel roof while cleaning some of the rooms. I can't wait to see snow piling up on top of roofs near Christmas!!!

11. Giving hubby a back massage and touching his body brings me pure delight.
12. Hubby doing the dishes without being asked (I know some guys who help out while muttering and complaining, so I must cherish hubby's help).

3. Getting the phone call from the magazine to let me know that my non-fiction story will be published in my birth month and that I'll get some reward for it. :-D

3BT: Random Days
1. Being able to buy 2 kgs of oranges. I remember clearly last year before R2 got a steady job, we couldn't even buy fruit. Now we have enough money to eat yogurt and fruit every day. 2. Telling R2, "I'm really GLAD I married you." :-))))
3. Having this song stuck in our heads and we keep on "influencing" each other. Either I or R2 would start singing it and the other one would continue and we'd both curse the song even though we loved it, too HUA HA HA HA HA...This is one of the JOYS of living together. How could we have done it while we were oceans apart? I LOVE living with R2!!!!!!!!
4. The other week I had some pain on my lower right stomach and R2 was afraid it was appendicitis. After taking some blood and urine tests, turned out it was NOT appendicitis. PHEW!!! What a relief! So I guess I just sprained some muscles while exercising he he he...
5. Kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses, kisses...hue he he he he...Being able to kiss and hold and do anything with R2 HUE HE HE HE HE...

3BT: January 3, 2008
1. Having an even-tempered hubby. He's never been angry as far as I've known him and as long as I've lived with him. He can get annoyed or frustrated, esp. when dealing with computers, but I'm glad he has such a gentle spirit!!!! He doesn't even get angry when I do something stupid. ;-D I don't think I've ever cherished this about him yet, so I'm gonna do it today!!!
2. Hubby giving me more kisses than usual before he prepared himself to go to work. It felt as though he didn't want to leave me HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...
3. Finding oranges on sale again, only €1.09 per kilogram! HUE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...
4. Finding liquid soap on a bargain: 3 bottles for the price of 2. YEEEEESSS!!!!! The offer was only valid for a limited time frame, so even though we didn't need soap yet, I snatched them right away. I LOVE saving money!!!
5. Hubby nibbling my arm when I shoved it gently near his face HI HI HI HI...I LOVE it when he does it!!! ;-D
6. Being able to manage a book exchange deal with one of my blogger friends. YEEEESSSSS!!! Plus I've got already 4 home addresses of some blogger friends. It feels GREAT to be trusted! ;-D
7. Finding frozen crab meat on sale. I grabbed the box right away since I've been craving for some craaaabbbbbbb!!!!!
P.S. I'm gonna be busy baking potato cutlets now for the birthday party, but if I have time later on before the party starts, I'm going to blog-hop. If not, then I'll do it on Sunday since tomorrow morning we'll definitely go to my in-laws again.

3BT: October 8, 2007
1. Hubby telling me this afternoon that we're going to Pori next Sunday to buy his eldest brother's car. YIIIIIIIIIIHHHHHHHHHHHAAAA!!! My first time to Pori. We'll probably be back on Monday evening or night, so don't wonder if I'm not here this weekend until Monday. On Friday we're going to the bars with my Arttu's second brother and his new girlfriend and on Saturday we'll probably go to my in-laws again. So it's gonna be a busy weekend for me!
2. Being able to contribute some grammatical theories in my Finnish course.
3. GOOD NEWS: my Finnish teacher's willing to teach double lessons twice (on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). It's SO wonderful that she's willing to spend more time with us without getting much money or even asking for more for herself. Plus she LOVES languages so much so that I bet she's going to be VERY useful to us. All in all, I'm touched by her determination and willingness to teach us. This is a HUGE blessing for us.
If you wanna know, my British friend's been waiting for this course for 3.5 years whereas I only had to wait 6 months (by the time I got here, there were enough foreign people here to open a Finnish course class!!!). I have a feeling that this has something to do with GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
4. Visiting my hubby's cousin's house and then his 3-year-old daughter (blonde, blue-eyed) asked me to play with her. I have to admit that I only understood 35% of what she was saying to me, but then when her big brother came back from somewhere, she called out to him, "Look! Here is my buddy!" while pointing at me. Ahhhh...the joy of being liked by a child he he he...She also asked me to dance and "pretend" to sleep ha ha ha ha...
5. Getting a YM message from my hubby, saying "I love you" over and over and over again while we were sitting in the same room hi hi hi...
6. Running toward my hubby after getting the message, sitting on his lap, and showering him with kisses hi hi hi...
P.S. It's 1.45 am right now and outside temp. is -3.5'C. Winter's coming already. I'm expecting WHITE Christmassssssssssss!!! WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
