3BT: Random Days

1. Kissing hubby by sucking both his upper and lower lips (and in the process getting tickled by his grown moustache) LOL!!!

2. To sit on the carpet in front of hubby's couch while he was sitting there, then looking up and being able to see his nostrils very clearly from that angle. What a view! :-D

3. Booking a spring trip to Rome. WOOHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!!! Can't wait!!!

4. Hearing a small boy (perhaps around 5 years old) babble about money to his mother, which made me and a couple of elderly smile because he just wouldn't shut up.

5. A customer saying, "I'll arrange everything so that the barcodes of each item I bought was facing you so that you don't have to turn them. I don't want you to suffer from de Quervain syndrome." AWWWWWWWW...it was the VERY first time someone had EVER done that!!! So heart-warming! :-D

6. The smell of Indonesian potato croquettes being baked in the oven and then after they were done, the taste was just SO heavenly.

7. Me: (jokingly) STOP drinking coffee!
Hubby: (without missing a beat) STOP eating chili sauce!
Me: UGH! That was a sucker punch!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHHH...

7. Watching this video:

3BT: Random Days

1. Had a near accident at work. Fortunately my coworker was in the warehouse with me at the time, so she could help me out. Phew!!! THANK GOD I'm safe!

2. Hubby's finally recovered from cold sore blisters on the lip, so we can kiss to our delight again. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!! :-D

3. A customer's appreciation of myself at work. THANK YOU, mummo (grandma)! It's nice to get verbal feedback every now and then, esp. positive ones LOL!!! :-D

3BT: Random Days

1. "Diamonds" glittering on a rooftop (read: when the sun was shining on the rooftop of a building covered by snow, the snow glittered just like diamonds).

2. Making lurrrrrvvvvveeeeeeeee and cuddling, kissing, and tickling each other afterwards.

3. Feeling as if spring had come again due to the amount of snow and sunlight during daytime.

4. Taking these pictures made me happy:

5. Starting to count down to the day of my departure to Indo and feeling both joy and sadness (sadness 'coz I'll have to leave hubby for 4 weeks - we've never been apart for more than one day for the past 2 years and 7 months).

6. Receiving "tempe teri" from an Indo friend who lives in Southern Finland. The day I received it, I cooked rice right away and it felt HEAVENLY to taste tempe teri with hot rice. Mmmm...

7. Feeling hubby's shaved cheek on mine.

8. Having some savings for rainy days and not having debt.

9. Reading a very funny joke (in Finnish), laughing about it, and sharing the laughter with hubby and BIL.

10. Asking hubby: "Is our marriage what you think a marriage is supposed to be?" He said yes and when I asked if he had any complaints about me, he said no. :-D

On Kissing and Culture

I once had an interesting talk with a friend on the subject of kissing. She's a big fan of Korean drama series. She told me that she was watching one particular Korean drama series that really disturbed her. Why? Because in the series, the leading male character kissed the leading female character in such a way that was usually not the "kissing norm" in Asian drama series. You see, usually if there's a kissing scene, then it'll only involve lips and it's just a brief kiss, not a long one.

I told her that the funny thing is that, when we watched Hollywood movies for example and we saw a rather longish hot, passionate kissing scene (or even more than one), we wouldn't feel disturbed by it. She agreed with me and she also started to wonder why he he he...

Even though the art of lovemaking in any country and culture involves many many more "intimate details" than kissing, but still it's rather disturbing in Asia to see some Asians kissing each other "hotly" in movies or even in real life. It does sound funny, doesn't it? But I guess that's what culture does to your mind. Plus in Indonesia, the censorship committee will cut off any kissing scenes (or other "more intimate" scenes) from any movies. If I remember correctly, if a kissing scene is over 3 seconds long, then it'll be cut off.

During the old days, the bride and groom in Indonesia never kissed each other on their wedding day. These days many include "you may kiss the bride" line at church, even though some brides are still shy enough to ask the groom to kiss their forehead instead of their lips. And usually the MC in their wedding party also asks them to share a kiss in front of all the guests. And mind you, the kiss is usually very brief HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...

Psstttt...I also asked Arttu to make it VERY short prior to our wedding ceremony, you know? I just don't want to make the elders feel "disturbed" (or uneasy would be a better term, I guess) he he he he he...After all, we can always have plenty of kisses later on HA HA HA HA HA...

Well, speaking of kisses, I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 'em!!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!

May you have plenty of sincere, loving kisses in your lifetimeeeeeeeee...
