3BT: Random Days

1. An opportunity to give back and share what I know.

2. Looking at childhood photos and reminiscing past events, evoking different feelings.

3. The new fluffy and very warm blanket, making me reluctant to get up from bed LOL!

4. Taking these photos:

5. We have so many DVDs to watch. So exciting and difficult to pick which one to watch first ha ha ha...

6. Finally having a lighter week to rest and recharge after a crazy long week at work that I'll never want to do again.

The Introvert Cave

I've been taking sabbatical by going into my Introvert Cave. I desperately need it every now and then, because sometimes I feel like my cup is overflowing with too many thoughts, ideas, information that it just refuses to take anymore and before I reach the burnout point, I need to take a step back and just be. I believe that there's only so much a brain can take at a given point in time, there's only so much one can give at a period of time before the brain and the heart need to take some time off.

The Introvert Cave is one of my fave dwelling places. I can read things I'm interested in reading, but I can also stay away from things that I don't want to read (like visiting FB where inadvertently I'll be reading random thoughts and info about other people's lives randomly). Enough is enough. Self-care is important as well. I also listen to a lot of music during this time, as well as instrumental music.

During my Introvert Cave period, I always feel lighter. It's like taking a short break in nature without having to interact with other people too much. I think the benefit of staying in the Introvert Cave every now and then is like an excellent full-body massage - the difference is that the benefit is felt by the mind and soul instead of the body. But hey, if it's good for the mind and soul, wouldn't it also benefit the body? :-D

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm rambling here. I didn't exactly prepare this post, so I was just typing whatever came to my mind. :-D Ahem. Anyway, I saw this quote a while ago in FB.

I was wondering why I couldn't choose number 1 AND 3. I know that it only works if the thing that you let define you makes you feel that you have a cause to work for. It wouldn't work if the thing that you let define you makes you feel like a victim, but I think it can work if the thing that you let define you makes you feel like a survivor and then you let it strengthen you.

Case in point: in the beginning, I felt like a victim of infertility and I was so angry in so many ways, but these days I feel like a survivor that enjoys sharing infertility links to many people in order to spread awareness. I think many people have survived this way through bad things: to find a cause or something that they feel can be of use to other people after they've experienced a tragedy.

What do you think, readers?

Down and Out

Hi, everybody!

How was your holiday? Mine was chock-full of R & R (Rest and Rest). I caught some of hubby's viruses and it made me feel SO tired all the time. I didn't have any fever, but my nose was blocked and I could feel my throat getting weirder and weirder. Plus I'm near my period, so that was an added factor towards my fatigue.

On Friday we went to my in-laws and I brought my "weird" chocolate cake. Sorry to say that it didn't turn out too good, though the taste was OK he he he...Turned out that mom-in-law had bought a strawberry cake for Arttu, so in the end we got to eat two types of cake. When I'm really fit later on, I really should burn the fat by kicking some "invisible" asses (read: doing Taebo kicks) HE HE HE HE HE...

Then as usual we went to sauna and sauna really made me feel GOOD...and sleepy. I took a nap right away after that. I must say that ever since I caught some viruses, I had been sleeping like a dead fish. I TRULY hope that tomorrow I'm 100% okay since I really need to focus on my course again.

So that's why I haven't been blog-hopping or blogging. I'll resume my blogging activities again tomorrow. Now I need to study a bit since I hadn't been studying much at all due to my condition. I'm GLAD that I've had a long holiday to recuperate, though. After all, it'll be DOUBLY bad if I get sick during course days he he he he...

I gave my mom-in-law some flower seeds and she looked delighted. She said that she'd plant them in spring he he he...

Hope you've had MORE FUN during this Easter holiday. I'd have wanted to go mini-skiing, but maybe next time. My brother-in-law asked me if we wanted to tag along with him, his girlfriend and daughter, but I said that I should take a rain check on that offer.

Take care, everybody!!!

3BT: February 15-18, 2008

1. Finding Peruvian mangoes on sale (only €1 per kilo) and this time they were SWEET!!!!

2. Feeding mangoes that I had sliced up to hubby while he was gaming online.

3. I managed to solve a riddle that my Finnish teacher gave us in class.

4. I won the last card game with my mother-in-law, Arttu, and his second brother. Mind you, I nearly lost BIG TIME, but then I managed to get lucky at the right time HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO...

5. Hearing hubby fart over and over again hi hi hi hi...'coz that means he's still alive and he's with me!!!! ;-D

6. Feeling useful in this world, particularly due to blogging. *grin*

7. Knowing that one of my closest friends didn't take my words the wrong way. The other day I replied her email in a rush and the next minute I realized that it could have been taken the wrong way. Phew!!! That's a HUGE relief! ;-D

8. Receiving an email from my Mom (typed by my brother) and hearing news that they're well in Bandung.

9. Hubby told me that his fingers had "shrunk" as his wedding ring felt more loose than before. I was afraid that he'd lose it, so I suggested to him to move it to his middle finger, but he refused HI HI HI HI HI HI...He was so bent on showing the world that he was married.

10. Hubby warning me to be careful with a can of tuna he helped open for me. He didn't want me to get hurt. :-D

11. Today (Sunday) is such a SUNNY day. It was sunny ALL day long that I couldn't believe it myself. Spring is definitely coming he he he he...

12. Getting more rest during the afternoon to prepare myself for the new week ahead.

13. Having a small apartment. The less I have, the less I have to take care of HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...This apartment isn't high maintenance, so that's WONDERFUL for me!!! ;-D

14. Hubby making us some oven-baked tuna/cheese sandwich. It's nice not having to do anything but eat for a change HA HA HA HA HA HA...

A Shortie

Hi, everybody!

I'm back, kicking and alive, but still feeling a tad tired. I'll only write my story later tomorrow, I think. Good thing that the course's off this week due to school holiday. I have plenty of stories to tell. However, bad thing is that I didn't manage to capture many good pics 'coz we were on the road all the time and the weather was bad (it was hard to take pics from inside the car, too). It was raining all through Sunday (almost non-stop even though we passed by different cities) and then it was SO foggy partly through Monday. Plus we didn't stop long enough for me to take as many pics as I wanted.

We left home at around 8 am on Sunday and arrived in Pori at around 9 pm (we stopped by to eat at some restaurants on the way as well as for pee breaks). Then we slept at around midnight and woke up at 6 am and then we left Pori THAT early. The fog was unbelievable at that time. We made a few stops again along the way and we only arrived home at around 8 pm.

What made us feel SO tired is the fact that other than the long trip back and forth, on Friday evening we went to bars with my hubby's brother and girlfriend and we only came back home at around 4 am. Then on Saturday we woke up at around 10 am and left to my in-laws. There we didn't manage to catch any nap and we came back home at 7 pm already, only to pack and sleep.

One thing I'd love to tell you is that Friday night was the FIRST TIME I danced on the dance floor with my hubby...well, I had a slow-dance with him once, but not fast dance...this time I also did fast dances with him plus slow-dances and I could see how happy he was. I'm telling you that I've NEVER done it before in my life and I've always been a shy person he he he...but seeing his eyes lit up when he looked at me as we danced...it was truly a moment to cherish! I'll tell you more tomorrow. Today I'll just visit my blogger friends' blogs and upload pics and videos so that tomorrow I can copy and paste the codes.

I'm gonna relax the rest of the day...my body's still in grave need of rest. After having sat down in the car for 24 hours...it feels SO good to be able to stretch he he he...

Anyway, the trip went find (gladly) despite the weather, but when I checked my mailbox this morning, there were 40 emails already. Oh dear!!! I was SO swamped he he he...so I'm gonna take it easy today. Sleepyhead me is still a bit light-headed here he he...Hope you're all well and you've had WONDERFUL weekends, everybody!!! CU later!

P.S. To those of you who haven't noticed, I've put up a chat box on my sidebar, so if you wanna say anything to me, you can write there, as well he he he...
