Picture Time!!!

Haven't been taking too many nature pics these days, but Friday night we went to Kelujärvi 'coz earlier that day MIL called and said that she was going to go and spend a night there, so she asked if we were going to visit her there on Saturday instead of her apartment. R2 came home a little earlier so I told him it'd be nicer if we could just go there that day instead of Saturday - it being such a nice, sunny day after all.

So we did. And we brought our little baby grill to grill some food outside. Then we played cards until late and we slept in the cabin whereas MIL slept in the house. The next day was really cloudy and rainy, so it was GREAT that we went there on Friday instead (Friday was 25'C and during the afternoon it was almost cloudless). OK OK, let me just share some pics now...

See how cloudless the sky was?

Yep, I was sunbathing on the bench ha ha...

And we ate berries with cream - bought the blueberries in the supermarket, whereas the strawberries and raspberries were from MIL's own garden. Yum yum...

Whose shadow was this? R2's and mine!!! I was sitting on the bench and he stood behind me HA HA HA HA HA...

Fake ripple effect of the lake in front of the cabin. Photo was taken at around 1.30 am he he...

Saturday afternoon we played cards again and went to sauna there, then I saw several curlews (kuovi is the Finnish term), so I ran and grabbed my camera and took many pics from inside the house. There were blurry pics 'coz they moved so fast ha ha ha ha...but these three turned out pretty good IMO.

This last pic is an experimental one. Guess what that object is? Anyone knows? HE HE...

3BT: Random Days

1. Taking a nap together with hubby or sleeping together with him is pure bliss.

2. Having met two close friends whom I hadn't met in real life in 5 years (one has been friends with me since we were 14, the other one has been friends with me since we were 16).

3. Having one of those two friends confirming what I had felt all along: that my MIL reminds me of my own mother.

4. Having a part-time job that allowed me to spend as much time as possible with my friends.

5. Not having to cook too much the week when my friends were here (I only cooked reindeer meat once) and being able to enjoy my friend's delicious dishes and cakes and biscuits. :-D

6. PERFECT weather during their stay. Couldn't have asked for more!

7. One of those two friends confirmed to me that I had grown into a much more relaxed person. It's nice to have confirmation about such a thing.

8. The roses in the garden bloomed and they smelled WONDERFUL.

9. Getting another's POV enables me to see things through their eyes and thus allowing me to appreciate more what I have.

10. Receiving so much foodstuff from my two friends. They have packed so much Indo food and goodies in their suitcases. Yum yum...

11. Having a private BBQ with hubby the other day and then during the afternoon I cooked delicious Indo food using the food stuff that my friends brought me.

12. Colder days after such hot days and the rain was such a bliss 'coz then it means my whole garden got free water (which is the best water for them anyway according to MIL).

13. Today is my last work day of the week, which means I'll have more time to blog and do other stuff from tomorrow. YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!

14. Finding easy basic belly dancing exercises in youtube which I could follow pretty well. I'm gonna try them again tomorrow. :-D

3BT: July 6th, 2010

1. The hottest day this summer at around 28'C under the sun (about 24'C under the shade).

2. Went to a nearby store to find myself a pair of jeans. My budget was only 15 Euros (I found a pair of jeans there at that price before) and found a pair that cost only 5 Euros (they were on a discount). YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!

3. Because of #2 above, decided to buy a bottle of massage oil (for me and hubby to use later on before we change the bed sheets ahem...) and two bags of hubby's fave candies (salmiakki mix).

4. Slathered lots of mosquito repellent to read in the garden and enjoy the weather. Felt grand to read in the garden surrounded by beautiful yellow flowers all around you. (Note: I did sit on the swing set for a while, but it was too hot, so I moved to a shady place)

5. Watching the bees busily looking for nectar here and there all around me.

6. Lying down to enjoy the sky and the breeze in the shade and feeling sleepy after a while he he he...

7. Watch my plants growing (esp. by comparing their pics taken last month versus their conditions today).

8. Despite the fact that hubby snores and sometimes I have to kick him to change his position if he happens to fall asleep first, I can sleep better with him by my side than when I sleep alone.

9. The quietness of this place is such a BLESSING. While lying down in the garden, I could only hear the occasional sound of vehicles passing by the street and if I had let myself, I would have fallen asleep.

Midsummer Night's Dream

We spent a night at my in-laws' place on Midsummer Eve. I hadn't even known we were spending a night there. At first I thought we were just going there 'coz BIL wanted to grill some sausages and hamburgers outside, but anyway...it was actually a PERFECT day to go there 'coz on Midsummer Day itself (yesterday), it was cloudy and then it rained cats and dogs at around 7 pm. On Midsummer Eve, the sun was sunny and it was 23'C.

Here are some pics I managed to take, among SO many I've taken...

I got SO lucky when I spotted these two lovey-dovey bugs. They didn't even budge when I came SOOOOOO close to them to get this pic (I, of course, took SO many pics 'coz I wanted to make sure I got at least ONE good pic - it was HARD to get a good pic of these two among the grass 'coz the focus kept on being off).

Isn't this pic lovely? Even the clouds look SO happy ha ha ha ha...

Another side of the field...mmmhhhh...I kept on running my eyes on the whole surrounding...it felt surreal...as though time had stopped and nothing else mattered...

OK, so I HAD to pose with the golden field of flowers, right? HA HA HA HA...

My in-laws enjoying the sun on their swing...

After sauna, we played some cards and then at midnight, I ran outside to take some pics...here are they:

This last pic was taken at around 2 am from inside the house (couldn't go out 'coz the door was locked already), so it wasn't too clear 'coz the window wasn't that clear (bugs had landed on them and stuff). But anyway, just wanna show that the sun started going up again...

OK, I'll blog-hop a little. I'm a bit excited and anxious about tomorrow he he he...It's always like that when you start working or doing any training in a new place where you've never had any experiences before. At least it won't be too bad 'coz I'll only work for 5 hours, though I've gotta get up early. Soon after blog-hopping I'm gonna exercise until I'm dead tired to make sure I can sleep early tonight after staying up for days ha ha ha ha...

Twenty Degrees

I think blogger is borked again. I haven't been receiving all the notifications about every comment from my blogger friends. Weird! I hope it'll be okay again later!!!

Anyway, let me give you an update about the job prospect. First of all, this is just a job opening for a substitute worker. So, if a worker there gets sick or something, then this substitute fills in for him or her. It may not be an ideal job for many people, but I guess for me it's as good as it gets if I get it he he he...

Yesterday morning my teacher and I met nearby the store, but turned out the woman in charge for recruiting wasn't there. She was going to come in the evening, so we decided to meet in the evening to meet her.

At first I was going to cancel the whole thing up, since I got COLD FEET!!! But my teacher said that I should just try it, so we did go back there at around 7.30 pm (after I went to my in-laws' place). The woman told me to fill in an application and send it to their head office, so my teacher's going to help me do it on Monday. I have to bring in my certificates and stuff (just like a regular job application). If they're interested in hiring me, then maybe there'll be an interview later. We shall see about that he he he...

I'm pretty scared about going to any job interview since it'll in Finnish. After all, during my whole life, I've only done TWO face-to-face job interviews. One of them didn't go well (that's another story to tell) he he he...so I don't have enough practise in this area he he he he he...Oh well...

Yesterday was quite hot for Lapland. The temperature varied between 18-22'C (depending on whether it was windy or not). Sometimes the wind could be pretty cool, but sometimes there was no wind at all and it felt HOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

I helped my MIL take out many flowers to her outdoor greenhouse. Arttu helped his Dad do something he he he he he...after that, as usual we played cards and then went to sauna.

I took some pics, but I'm only going to upload them later, OK? ;-D Have a NICE start of the week, friends!!!
