3BT: Random Days

1. On nights when hubby goes to sleep earlier than me, I LOVE tucking him in bed and kissing him goodnight. :-D

2. Watching this interesting video clip:

3. My boss called me yesterday to tell me that if needed, I may have to work longer on a certain day. How thoughtful of her to call in advance first to warn me about it because that day we'd be visiting my MIL (my boss didn't know this), so I could tell MIL in advance that we may be late.

4. Hearing a funny thing that my nephew said about a certain circumstance. Apparently in the middle of a heated argument somewhere, a woman passed out and my nephew then asked his mom, "Mom, why did she pass out? Was she hit by a car?" LOL LOL LOL!!!!!

5. Listening to this podcast about Living Without Children After Infertility. At one point I even shed some tears.

6. Had a weird, romantic dream. Even though it was weird, it felt nice to have a romantic dream once in a while. In the dream, two blind people fell in love and the last scene of my dream was when they were holding each other tightly (it seemed that they had been separated or something and that made the meeting all the more sweeter!). :-D

7. Hubby started chanting "Informer" before we watched a movie and it made me laugh uncontrollably - which in turn made him laugh along with me. LOL LOL!!!

Inventory Valentine

Yep, didn't do anything much on Valentine's Day 'coz we had inventory night yesterday. Had to do a morning shift and then go back home to take a nap before going back to work in the evening. Busy day indeed. THANK GOD I have two days off, so I can rest and blog and blog-hop he he...

Yesterday got a surprise from the same grandpa who had bought me flowers twice already on different occasions. He bought another pot for someone else, but he was so nice that he even asked me which one I wanted (of the two pots that he had brought to the cashier). Here's the pot that he gave me:

BLESS HIM, BLESS HIM, BLESS HIM!!!

My coworker said, "He must have a crush on you." I just laughed it off, 'coz I know he's not like that. He has a wife and he cares about me like a grandpa cares about a grandchild, so I always accept the flowers happily (without any weird feelings). :-)))

Another funny thing that happened yesterday was that another grandpa came by and while paying for the things he bought, he said, "XXX (the little girl who kinda likes me) said hi."

I thanked him and he said, "I'm her grandpa. She keeps on saying your name."

I said, "She's such a sweet girl." The proud grandpa said, "Yes, she is, isn't she?" BLESS HER TOO!!! I did meet the little girl a few days before her grandpa came by and it was so nice to see her smile and hear her say my name hi hi...:-D

If you wonder what I get from R2...well, he's not that kind of romantic guy, but he did wait for me to come back home even though I hadn't asked nor expected him to do so. The other month on inventory night, I told him, "Don't wait up for me 'coz I don't know how long it'd take." But he said, "But what if I DO want to wait for you?" HE HE HE...He's that kind of "romantic" type of guy and that suits me just fine. :-D And we still hold hands every time we watch movies together, even though my palms get sweaty easily but it doesn't bother him. :-D

Okie dokie, time to blog-hop 'coz I have a lot to catch up on!

Romance In The Air

Before we went to sleep:

Me: (squeezing him SOOOO tightly) "I WANT YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!"
R2: (with his usual calm way) "You do have me. "
Me: "Yeah, but I still DO want you. Isn't that good that I still want you even though I have you already? If I have you but I don't want you anymore, that's sad, isn't it?"
R2: "Yeah." (too sleepy to continue the conversation)

Yep, still want him SO badly even though I have him in my arms. Sometimes I just stare at him for a long time - partly to tease him. If I stare at him too long, he'll then do something to "get rid of me" (e.g. to stop me from staring at him) HA HA HA HA HA HA...

I can't wait for our winter holiday later on. We may not go anywhere far (probably just to Rovaniemi or the cabin), but it'll be nice to be able to do whatever we want for the whole week. I'm also planning to book a massage for us, but we'll see about that. Have to count the budget first and think before deciding he he...

Romance Is In the Air

Love and romance. Two inseparable subjects. The other week hubby told me that his second brother would move to his girlfriend's place here in Sodankylä soon. He dares taking that step since he can't stand being apart from her any longer (he's currently living in Pori, about 12 hours away by car from here).

When he was coping with a break up last summer, he told me that he didn't believe that he would ever be lucky in love. He had gone through plenty of break-ups already and the last one was painful since the woman didn't even explain to him what had happened. She had just simply stopped accepting his calls or replying his SMS. Cruel, isn't it?

Anyway, his current girlfriend has actually been his best friend for over 20 years, but through some twists of life, they had never really been a couple. That's one reason why I was SO happy when they got together. It was clear to me that they got the chemistry already. After all, they have been BEST friends! I wish him ALL THE BEST in this current relationship. I wish him many many more happy years to come. One challenging thing would be finding a job in this little village, but when God opens doors, nobody can close them, right? I hope he'll find one sooner, not later.

I love love stories, don't you? It's just funny sometimes how life brings two people together. I also know one person who used to "hate" a guy in High School actually ended up marrying him. In that particular case, it's true what they say, I guess, "There's a fine line between love and hate."

Why? & Some Winter Pics

In my earlier post, I attached a video clip of a Korean TV series (drama/romance) and Crystal told me that she cried a lot while watching them and Juliana also told me that it was her fave Korean series. There's something that I've been wondering about. How come we (especially women) love crying our eyes out while watching love stories, even though we know it's only a story?

I even know one guy who said that he loved watching sad dramas 'coz he could cry his eyes out while watching. He said it always made him feel good afterward.

Anyway, I went to a store again downtown to buy a pot for my X-mas cactus. Now let me share with you some pics of X-mas decorations from around town he he he...

First pic: my new pot. Isn't it cute? I LOVE the star decoration on the pot he he he...The post cost €3.95 (around 45,000 rupiahs).

Second pic: This is how the flower lamp looks like when I took the pic without the blitz he he he...

Third pic: It's the apt. building behind us. Sorry it's not too clear, but click on it to view a bigger size and you'll see the star-shaped lamps on one window. I LOVE them!!! ;-D

Now starting from the below pic, I took some pics while going downtown...so just enjoy the trip he he he he he...Sorry to say that some of them aren't too clear.

This below pic is the pic of downtown. The very centre of Sodankylä he he he...

See the big snowman there? I think it's fake, though hmmm...and you can see a X-mas tree in front of the bookstore (kirjakauppa). Kirja = book, kauppa = store.

The below pic is a pic of one of the bars here.

As you can see, the below pic is a pic of a hotel and its restaurant. Karhu Hotelli = Bear Hotel.

This house below actually looked MUCH nicer than in the pic. Since it's located very close to Lidl, you can see Lidl's lamps reflected on the window. They really ruined my pic he he he he he...GRRRRRRR!!!

Now this below pic is a pic of our apt. Yes, located on the third floor. Hubby said that he broke some parts of the lamp on the balcony (see the party that didn't shine?) 'coz he twisted it too much.

And here's a pic taken from inside our bedroom. Nice glowing colourful lights...MMMM...I'm feeling REALLY festive HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

Sweet Sweet Romance

Romance. I think everyone knows the importance of romance in a relationship. However, not everybody is romantic enough for his/her partner.

When I went MyLotting the other day, I read a discussion where a woman complained that her new boyfriend wouldn't say "I love you" to her, even though she had said it first. Apparently it was awkward for him to say those words or even wrote them down. But after she explained how important it was for her to hear or read those words (in SMSes), he started improving himself in that department. Sweet!!! ;-D Don't most women love romance?

I read this romantic game for couples which I'd love to share with you. I can imagine playing it with my hubby, especially since I love to see the twinkle in his eyes whenever I say something sweet to him.

My hubby and I also never said sweet words verbally before we were together. Both Finns and Indonesians aren't big on saying sweet words like that. My parents never said those words to each other, but ever since I was a kid, I had this deep wish of being able to be romantic to each other with my future spouse. It definitely took some effort, but it's all worth it in the end. Now I'm getting everything I want from a relationship, but hey, wouldn't hurt to learn new romantic ideas to spice up our lives, right? *wink* There's always room for improvement, anyway, and I want to make the best out of everything.

Speaking of relationships, I remember when I broke up with my first boyfriend. It wasn't easy to get over a break up even though I knew the relationship couldn't last and even though I knew he was wrong for me. However, I think what's most important from a "failed" relationship is the fact that we learn from it, don't you think so? I think that we can learn more about ourselves when we're in a relationship (any kind of relationship for that matter, but particularly from a romantic relationship).

Hmmmm...back to romance...maybe I should send this link to my hubby via email so that he would remember to ask me out on a romantic date every once in a while. ;-D After all, I heard from lots of people that having a date with your wife or husband even after years of marriage is one of the most important aspects to spice up romance. For those of you who've been married long enough, do you remember to have a date every once in a while with your spouse? And does it spice up your relationship?
