One Blessing Untold

Oh dear...in my hurry I forgot to add this one to my 3BT post. Last Saturday when we went to my MIL's place, she told me with a joyful glimmer in her eyes that she was knitting house slippers for me. She showed me a pair of house slippers that were finished already, but she quickly added, "These are NOT for you. These are just for practise. I'll make you a pair of prettier house slippers."

Awwwwwwwwww...she's just SO sweet!!! I was once thinking of learning how to knit, but then again if I am able to knit, I'll rob her joys of being able to give me something she knits herself. Hmmm...well, we'll see. Maybe someday I'll learn how to knit, too he he...

Meanwhile, there are now plenty seeds of different types of being sold online since spring is coming soon and I'm thinking of buying some flower seeds for her. After all, she has a green thumb (unlike me, who keeps on killing plants!!!). If you're reading this, Arttu's brother, DO NOT tell Mom about this, okay? Just keep quiet as I want to surprise her he he he he...

Okay, soon Arttu will be home, so I'd better eat first before we go do some more stuff in our new apartment then. I miss blog-hopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I don't want to blog-hop in a rush and write my comments in a rush, so see you after we move, okay?

Hope you're all in good shape and you have your peace of mind!!! Spring, here we come!!!!

  1. I'm so happy to hear that you're gonna be the owner of slippers! They'll keep your feet quite warm, sweety!

I tried to knit a few times but later i understood that it's not for me. I'm very bad at with knitting:) Maybe i should wait till i'm 60s or 70s to be perfect with it.

    Kisses to my Amel!

  6. Have you considered how much she would LOVE to teach you though Amel? To know that her handicraft is being passed down? A lot of crafters see it as a great honour to teach another!

I am sure she would love it.. and trust me, with no disrepect to you intended.. that for a very long time yours would not be a patch on hers! It takes many years and a heck of a lot of patience to be that good to make things for feet. Socks are not easy! She is thoughtful. (Are they the dusting kind? Two in one workers!)

I can only knit basic squares! I am pretty useless at stuff like that.. but I desperately want to learn how to crotchet! It is one of those things I regret not learning from my darling Grandmother, but I wasn't into craft when I was a child.

Hyvää Ystävänpäivää! I sent you a blog award! (Yeah...Me!) LOL..

    Love Michelle xx

  8. Great Blog! Check out this new Christian band that just released their first album. From what I heard on the samples site, they sound really good.

Introducing the new Christian National Anthem: Guns & Jesus.

Please pass on this info to all.
