3BT: Random Days

1. A mistake in reading turned into a funny episode at work.

What was supposed to be "täytetty pasta" (stuffed pasta), I accidentally read "täytetty paska" (stuffed shit). I was reading it way too quickly, but it made me (and other people) laugh he he...

2. Playing Town of Salem in FB, invited by hubby and laughing out loud when playing it together. One time he managed to kill me and trick me. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

3. Waiting for another book to come (another one from my wishlist), courtesy of Bookdepository again, because they offered me another great deal, so naturally I couldn't resist he he he he...What I love about the site is that I don't have to pay for postage and they always deliver pretty fast. Plus they give me (free) cute bookmarks. :-D

4. I believe I've married a genius. He has made me laugh many times over even when he's not trying. And he always has the ability to calm me down in ways that I had never seen anyone do. If I thought I picked the right guy to marry over 8 years ago, I had no idea just how right my choice was! Oh, and it was a privilege to be able to tell him all this face-to-face. :-D

5. Being alive still and being able to spend time with hubby.

6. Buying Father's Day's cake on a discount because I went to the store an hour before it was closed down the day before Father's Day and claiming the cake to be our anniversary cake (our anniversary was 6 days before Father's Day in Finland and because the both of us have no fathers left, I changed the cake's title HA HA HA HA HA HA...).

7. Ordering a bike bag online and then realizing that one zipper was broken and that it was much too small for my taste, so I reported it and got my refund pretty quickly. It was nice doing business with that site.

8. Ordering another bike bag from another site and it finally came right before the old bag broke down. It's a little bit smaller than the old one, but much better than the small one with the broken zipper.

9. Deciding to make my own Christmas cards this year (something out of character for me because I'm not a handicraft lover) and finding some great deals on craft packages to make them. Oh, and it's finally Winter Wonderland here! The temperature went up a while back, making all the snow melt away and now we have fresh snow all over. YEAAAAAHHHHHHH! :-D

Sgp Trip: BreakOut Escape Game + Alive Museum + Spa

Okay, let me now continue sharing about our Singapore trip. A few days prior to our trip, I booked two tickets for Alive Museum at Suntec City Mall because they were offering a discount. The original price was 25 SGD/person, but I paid 20 SGD/person.

Here's the link to the museum: Alive Museum

There's a similar 3D Museum in Sentosa Island, but I figured going to one would be enough. At least in the website it was stated that it'd take approximately 1,5 hours, so we wanted to use the rest of our time to do other things.

Here are some fun photos that we took. Unfortunately it was a bit dark inside at some parts, but you get the idea. Thankfully the place was rather empty, so we could take time posing and laughing he he...

The last day in Singapore, we didn't know what else to do before our evening massage session, but the night before, I browsed through tripadvisor to find out what kind of activities we could do and this BreakOut Escape Game was listed as number two, so I booked a spot online (didn't have to use credit card to book, only an email address). As was stated in tripadvisor, it was a little tough to find the place, but at least there were some information desks in Chinatown, so we kept asking for direction until we found the place. The price per person was 22 SGD for the weekend.

When we arrived there, we were given some locks and puzzles to solve and one of them was a kind of Rubik's cube, though it was in a different form. Hubby tried it and he solved it in no time. The game master told us that he tried it for 5 minutes and then gave up. He also added that hubby was the fourth person who managed to solve it since January (when they started opening up the place).

Here's the link to the site: BreakOut Escape Game

Here's the bus stop right in front of the place (the place is located on the second floor).

Here's a photo of us after we failed to escape LOL LOL!!!!

Yep, unfortunately we failed. We chose the "Forever Young" scenario (go to the site to read the intro). Basically speaking we had to enter a room where we had to find clues and solve the puzzles to find the key that enabled us to get out of the place, but we ran out of time already, even though we did ask the game master for some clues during that time (there was no limit, we just needed to press the button to get clues from the game master). There was also a spare key hidden in the room in case someone had a panic attack or something like that, so they could grab the key and use it to get out of the room.

What we loved about it was that at the end of the game, the game master asked us if we wanted him to show us how to escape or not (if we wanted to try again, we'd get a discount). Because we lived too far away, we opted to be shown how to solve the whole thing. It was really done in a clever way, I must say, but I can't say anything much here because I don't want to ruin the fun for anyone who wants to try it out he he he he he...but I think it was worth trying, though I feel that it'd be more fun to do it with more people. After all, the suggested number of players is 4-8. All in all, it's highly recommended and I'd love to try this kind of game again next time, because next time we'll know better ha ha ha...

By the way, before I forgot, we had a massage session at the spa near our hotel. I recommend the spa because the massage was great PLUS they forbid any kind of illegal offers (no triple price offers), so we felt safe and secure. I booked the session the day before for the both of us. They had a couple's room and I spent about 43 Euros per person for a 1,5-hour massage.

It's called Tang Dynasty Massage & Spa.

3BT: Random Days

1. Playing "Poker Face" game with hubby while playing cards with MIL (it wasn't planned, just made up right then and there). The point of the game is to keep a poker face while the other party makes faces to make you smile or laugh. Dang it was SO hard to keep a poker face that we ended up laughing like crazy over and over again. SO MUCH FUN!!! :-D

2. A grandma gave me a bar of chocolate at work. BLESS HER! And it wasn't even the first time for her to do that. :-) I shared the chocolate with hubby at home he he he...

3. We've booked the tickets to go to Indo via Singapore on our summer holiday, so we're spending some days in Singapore as well in between flying to my hometown and flying back to Finland. And we've also booked the hotels in Singapore YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!! :-D

4. I've contacted a few friends who live in Singapore and they've told me that they want to meet up, so I hope there's no hindrance for us to meet. EXCITING!!!!!!!! :-D

5. More feeling of freedom as I get less afraid of disappointing people when I feel that they have high expectations of me or when I feel that they expect something from me that I just can't give (something I just realized lately).

6. The sidewalk is now clear of sand and gravel. That means I can ride my bike at full speed again WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

7. Having lovely and fun coworkers who treat me (the only expat in the group) like one of them. I hope we can work together for a LOOOONNNGGG time. :-D

8. Listening to this soothing and comforting song. Death is not the end. We will meet again in heaven...

9. Laughing so much at these photos ha ha ha ha...I'm trying to imagine the amount of time and effort it took to match the characters with the cats ha ha ha...As a cat lover and a fan of Game of Thrones, I think whoever it is has done a great job at it. :-D

Old Nintendo Games

Hubby found a website filled with old portable Nintendo games, but you can actually play it on your PC. One of the games that I used to play in my childhood was:

SO MUCH FUN!!! (click on the link and you'll be able to find other games there, too)

I remember having a Snoopy game on a Nintendo, as well. The bad thing about this type of game was that you couldn't really save anything, so after you reached such high levels, if you died, then you had to start ALL over again from the beginning he he he he...I also seem to remember some kind of cowboy shooting game that was really fun belonging to my cousin. I think the Octopus game also belonged to a cousin of mine.

What kind of portable Nintendo games did you play in your childhood (if any)?

Oops I Did It Again!

The surprise gift was a success!!!! :-D Yesterday when the computer game arrived, I was torn between wrapping it as it was (so he'd know that it was a computer game DVD) or wrapping it in a bigger box so he wouldn't know what it was. The thing is, I did this kind of trick once already a few years back, so I wasn't sure if he'd suspect that what was inside the package wasn't what it looked like.

But I decided to wrap it up in a bigger box. I jammed in some paper as well so that when he shook the box, he wouldn't hear a thing HA HA HA HA HA HA...*EVIL GRIN*

And true to form, he did shake the box to find out what it was. At first he wanted to wait until November 3rd, but I was afraid that he'd ordered the game without my knowledge, so I pushed him to open it yesterday already HI HI HI HI HI HI...And after that he said he had no clue what was inside it and he didn't expect it to be a computer game. So mission ACCOMPLISHED, people! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!

And right now he's enjoying the new game he he he he he he he he...Side note: I had to ask a friend who loves gaming to find out which game R2 would enjoy playing among all the latest games available. He then asked me what kind of games R2 had been playing and I gave him a list of game names and from the list, he found out which would suit R2 best. And he was right, so it's also thanks to him that I managed to find the right gift for R2 he he he he he...

Anyhow, yesterday had fun at my friend's place and she gave me her own homemade gift: a happy-looking tonttu (elf) that she made herself. It makes me feel SO HAPPY just by looking at it, don't you feel the same way too?

So, THANK YOU for the gift, my friend! :-D The tonttu's enjoying its new home he he he...

Saint Lucia

At our pikkujoulu (small X-mas party) last Saturday, there were four of us and we had FUN (of course HE HE HE...). My friend Michelle has prepared plenty of games for us to play. We also did last year's game of Bingo where each of us had to write down 5 numbers (anything from 1 to 25) and then whosever number was called should imitate the sound of the animal given to her and the winner had to stand up and make that sound.

Guess who won Animal Bingo? ME!!!!!!!!! And I was chosen to be the Beaver!!!!! ;-D

The other two games were HILARIOUS!!! In the first one, we had to close our eyes while DRAWING! I'll show you later my crazy drawings hi hi hi...but basically speaking, we had to follow instructions while trying to draw as accurately as possible with our eyes closed.

For example: First draw an island in the middle of the paper, then draw a boat on the LEFT side of it, then draw a palm tree ON the island, then some fish in the sea, etc.

Not as easy as you think, you know? Well, if you're going to gather together with your family this Christmas, you can also play this game. The winner is calculated by the accuracy of each orders. For example: you get 20 points if the island IS indeed in the middle of the paper and you'll get 30 points if the boat is on the left side of the island AND not touching the island, etc.

It'll be SUCH A FUN THING to do for the whole family! No cheating, please HA HA HA HA HA HA...

Anyway, here are some of the pics!!! Sorry I can't write too long here since I'm busy and I still have to blog-hop and COOK!!!

First pic: before we pulled the Christmas crackers ---> yeah, Michelle even took some Christmas crackers for us just like last year hi hi...

Second pic: As usual inside the X-mas crackers there were "crowns" for us the queens of the night HA HA HA HA HA...

Third pic: If you wonder why I'm wearing St. Lucia's crown, go to Michelle's post to read it. The story about the pikkujoulu is located at the bottom of the post: Pikkujoulu and St. Lucia.

Last pic: After we finished eating. :-))))
