3BT: Random Days

1. Been busy with work, but it feels great to reward myself every now and then with these lovely chocolate eggs. Although it's crazy that they've started selling them way ahead of time, I'm glad that they exist ha ha...

2. Going on a walk on a sunny day on my day off. Here's a LOOOONNNGG shadow of mine. Love the sun on my back, warming it up. Oh, and I got to see a pair of squirrels on my walk. So cute!

3. Finding one of the gifts for hubby's upcoming birthday (on a discount YAY!). It's safely hidden somewhere. Now need to find the other gift (still wondering what I should choose).

4. Finding two pairs of cheap jeans (one pair cost €10, whereas the other pair cost €15).

5. MIL helped me shorten those jeans using her sewing machine. Bless her! 

6. Working together with hubby to clear up the thick pile of snow on the roof.

 8. Fried brain. The other day I was SO tired that I was going to string this sentence in my head, "Oh boy, it's unbelievable that they've started selling Easter eggs already!" in Finnish. However, my slow brain slipped. Instead of forming the word "pääsiäissuklaata" (Easter chocolate), it became "paskiaissuklaata" instead. Pääsiäinen = Easter, whereas paskiainen = bastard/asshole. Ahem...I sure don't need any bastard chocolate eggs HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHH...

3BT: Random Days

1. Hubby took a nap on the sofa and then when I was walking towards the toilet from the kitchen (the kitchen's light was on, but the way towards the toilet was dark), I jolted when I suddenly saw a huge shadow coming towards me. His footsteps were so light that I didn't hear a thing, so I was shocked when all of a sudden he was right in front of me. I let out some noise when we almost hit each other and we ended up laughing and holding each other close. 

2. Hubby was standing up from his computer chair and I jumped out of mine to ask for a hug, but he looked at me with a wicked grin and immediately started running away from me in very small steps, begging to be chased. I ended up chasing him a few steps and we held each other, giggling. 

3. More sunlight WHOOPPEEEEEE!!! One of my fave times is when the afternoon sun is shining through our kitchen window.

3. This video clip of Jason Brown skating to his heart's content (and making me happy in the process, too!). I LOVE people who look like they're enjoying themselves doing whatever they're doing. Very inspirational! 

End of March Photos

Yep, not going to ramble about anything today...just wanna show you some photos I took last Saturday. Here they are... 

It was snowing heavily during the afternoon...but then the sun was really persistent. It was peeping in the background. Quite a sight, actually. To see all the snow and the vague sun. :-D

These two photos below were taken about 15-20 minutes later, after the snow stopped falling. :-D

Don't you think that from this angle, it resembles the tongue of a snake? :-D 

3BT: Random Days

1. Enlightenment, enlightenment, enlightenment and the peace of mind as its result.

2. About a month ago or so, hubby said that I mumbled Finnish words in my sleep. :-D

3. Talking to my Mom via Skype. Always nice to chat with her.

4. Double family birthday party (MIL's and R2's) last Friday where we talked and played cards until 3.30 am.

5. VERY delicious cake that MIL bought and served us.

6. Riding bikes to and from MIL's place side by side with R2.

7. Giving back massage as one of R2's birthday gifts.

8. Reading funny jokes.

9. Walking down memory lane by listening to old songs in youtube and rereading old comics.

10. Enjoying the warmth of the sun while cleaning up the snow from the yard.

11. Seeing the squirrel in front of MIL's apartement on Saturday - this time it has gotten bigger and chubbier!!! :-D

3BT: Highlights of the Past Month

1. Feeling like honeymoon again when coming back from my Indo trip. WHOOOPEEEEE!!!!!

2. MIL hugging me TIGHTLY and saying that she had missed me! :-D I had missed her too!

3. Being kissed by Ken on the cheek (without asking him to do so!).


4. Spending time with my family and friends in Bandung.

5. Going to the spa, going shopping a few times, and watching a movie with my Mom despite her current busy life as Ken's caretaker.

6. Being able to chat using a webcam with hubby during my Indo trip. THANK GOD for a faster internet connection in Indo, too!!!

7. All the glorious food and drinks that I could eat during my Indo trip - and I didn't have diarrhoea or any other health problems AT ALL during my trip.

8. Being able to meet about 17 of my ex-elementary school friends in a small gathering. It was FUN!!!

9. Getting enough sun and rain in Indo and when I got back to Finland, I got enough snow! :-D Couldn't have asked for more! ;-D



10. My priest asked me to come forward on the last Sunday I went to church in Bandung to pray for me and R2. He also prayed for our wish to have kids.

11. Hearing a story about my parents and knowing that God's angels had protected them from harm (I'll write about this later).

12. Playing with Ken and making him giggle so much! ;-D

13. Finding a strand of white hair - I've lived long enough to experience having at least one HUE HE HE HE HE...

14. Watching hubby's and MIL's expressions when they tried preserved seedless plum I bought in Hong Kong airport hi hi hi...SO FUNNY!!!

15. Being at home, being able to cook and experiment on cooking, being able to sleep on my own bed.

16. Christmas lights are up in our apartment - we don't have a Christmas tree, but we have some Christmas lights (not shown in the below pic, but just wanna show you how much snow we have now).



17. Finding some Christmas gifts for my loved ones today (and also I bought one for me HA HA HA...)

3BT: Random Days

1. Tomorrow and Friday I'll have free days, though on Thursday I have my Finnish class, but still it feels GOOD to be able to have some free time. :-D

2. With the free time I have, I'm right now trying a new recipe that a friend posted in FB HE HE HE HE HE...Hope it works!!!

3. Getting the much-needed nap today after work, since I only worked 4 hours today (due to the overtime I did the first week this month - since the Finnish class had a week holiday, I could use the time that I was supposed to spend at school at work).

4. Feeling the sun warming up my back while sitting in our kitchen.

5. Getting SO MUCH LIGHT from all the HUGE windows in our apartment.

6. Having good rolled curtains to shade the light when we're asleep. Now that Midnight Sun is coming and it's getting light longer and longer during the day, it'll be hard for us to sleep without these curtains.

7. I've been pretty diligent in reading some Finnish every day and also trying to translate Finnish songs in my other blog (though I still need R2's help, but still it's good practice for me). I should keep up the pace and not slack off!!!

8. We've gone sliding down the hills three times this month, so I'm VERY PLEASED with it, because last year we didn't do it at all as I was busy with my full-time Finnish class and during the holiday I got sick, so we couldn't make it.

9. Enthusiasm. Enthusiasm. Enthusiasm. About life in general and also about learning more Finnish.

3BT: Random Days

1. Hubby saying to me "I'm sick for you so that you don't have to be sick" when he got a slight fever again and his nose started to be runny again.

2. Feeding hubby yoghurt and apple while he was gaming online (not the same night!) and hearing him thank me. *grin*

3. Getting the job training contract today. YIPPIIEEEEEEE!!!! ;-D

4. Hubby holding my fingers weirdly last night (he wasn't holding my hand, but my fingers). I didn't realize at first that he was doing that to WARM up my fingers since they felt cool to him, even though I wasn't really feeling cold. Still the gesture was SO nice. *BIG GRIN again*

5. Finding cheap teenage books in Finnish at a flea market. Bought two just to practise reading Finnish HO HO HO HO HO HO...

6. Finding cheap (new) woolen socks at the same flea markets. At the other flea market, the cheapest ones I found cost €10, but at this flea market, they only cost €3.50 HUA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...ME HAPPY, SO VERY HAPPY!!! And the colours are SO nice as well...light yellow and blue HO HO HO HO HO HO HO...

7. Hearing nice, positive things from different people he he he he he...

8. Tuna puff pastry, hot from the oven. YUM YUM!!!!

9. Found moose meat on a BIG discount HUE HE HE HE HE HE...

10. Feeling the sun warming up my face and back...mmmmmmm...

3BT: August 22-23, 2007

1. Being spooked again by my hubby.

2. Pretending to sulk for exactly 5 seconds after being spooked. LOL!!!

3. Being squeezed A LONG time last night. He wouldn't let go. It's one of the BEST feelings in the whole wide world. *grin*

4. Teeth are WONDERFUL, esp. if you've got no problem with any one of them (going to the dentist can be SO expensive). You can chew food with them and best of all, I LOVE being nibbled!!!

5. Reading these words today:

He (God) knew the size of my pain, the color of my frustration, the fabric of my fears, and the fashion of my insecurities.

SUCH comforting words!!! ;-D

6. The anticipation brewing inside me as I'm about to buy ice-cream at the supermarket soon. YIIIPPPIIIIIIEEEEE!!!! There are SO many choices. I wonder which one I'll pick today. I'm drooling already. *tee hee*

7. The wind rustling the leaves.

8. Feeling the warmth of the sun on my back MMMMMMM...

9. Hubby running to the door to hug me tightly. He came home for lunch break while I was at the supermarket. Now I know how WONDERFUL it felt to be greeted like that. *HUGE grin*

10. A cluster of birds flying away as I was passing nearby. I LOVE Finnish nature!!! ;-D
