Under Stress

Do you work well under stress? I don't. I LOVE having plenty of time to prepare everything, so that if plan A doesn't work, then I have time to pick plan B or C or D he he he...

Browsing through the hotels and stuff online is a tough deal when you have a tight budget, especially when the rates on the online pages are sometimes in US dollars or Singaporean dollars and I have to calculate everything in Euros he he he he he...I've filled up a page with calculations, price comparisons, and reviews he he he he...

Why do we insist on going to Singapore when our holiday can be simpler if we stay in Bandung? Because it may be our last honeymoon before we have kids. That's why we'd better enjoy our holiday just in case. But that means that we have to be REALLY careful with the money we spend, especially since we're thinking of buying a new digital camera.

Yep, browsing through digital cameras was also tiring since I have to read so many reviews of different types of digital cameras and if possible I also had to compare the results of the photos some people had taken. I do enjoy research, though, if I'm not limited by time and budget HI HI HI HI HI HI HI HI...

Wouldn't life be simpler if we had less and less and less wishes and wants????

This image below captures my mood perfectly:

I don't know why but I'm also tensed about coming back to Bandung. Weird. I should feel only excitement and elation, but I have this somewhat disturbing amount of tension that I can't explain. I just wish I could get this all over with by arriving in Bandung he he he...

OK, let me now think of calming thoughts and see calming pictures like this...

  2. That's a very calming picture. Better than the stressed out cat!

I know what you mean though, sometimes you can't quite put your finger on why but you feel a little tense towards a forthcoming event. I bet when you get there you'll wonder why you felt like that and have a great time.

And no, I don't work well under stress at all! I tend to panic and not get much done. I much prefer doing things leisurely!

  4. Wishes and wants, oh yes... I wish I had an unlimited amount of money and a year off - I'd travel around the world... Anyway, your remark reminded me of my last year's Business English class: Economics is the study of how to fulfill peoples unlimited wants with the limited resources. Resources are not scarce because there wouldn't be enough to satisfy our needs, but because we keep wanting more and we live in a world which tries to convince us that wants and needs are synonyms...blabla :D Though even as a little girl I never said I want something. I always 'needed' that Barbie etc. LOL

  5. You may be able to get some really good deals on digital camera in Singapore, especially at Sim Lim Square near Bencoolen Hotel.

I'm also looking for one but haven't got time to do homework.

Browing online for hotels can be super frustrating. I have done that many times. It takes up alot of time and you've got to read reviews and wait for hotel to confirm if there are rooms etc.

I often find the days leading to my travel quite unsettling. I think it is partly excitement, partly fear and the sadness of leaving loved ones for a short period of time. Everything will be fine once you land in Bandung. Once you're in the location, you'll instantly blend in and temporary forget about everything else.

  6. I like to take it easy when I am travelling. My hubs and I don't like to have timelines and schedules to meet when we travel. Hence very often, we end up chilling out at beach resorts :-).

Take it easy gal. Welcome to Singapore! I heard Ting already has a big plan for you on the day you arrive? ...erm...wonder if I can pop by after work :-)

  8. Jeanne: Ahhhh...you want to buy one, too, eh? Well, my choice would be Panasonic DMC series, but it all depends on our budget HI HI HI HI HI...

The World According to Me: Yes, the stressed cat (me) needs to see that type of calming picture hi hi...

So you also don't work well under stress? Yeah, me too, I tend to panic and I feel "claustrophobic" in a sense that I can't think straight. It feels that my options are SO limited when I panic hi hi hi...

Jul: Yes, a new one that can take a better video. Hopefully the price is RIGHT HA HA HA HA HA...

Bitter Chocolate: Yeah, we need to tame that wishes and wants, esp. if we don't have enough money he he he he he...

Blur Ting: THANKS for the tipssss!!! I'll write down that place's name so that we can visit it later he he...

I know what you mean. I haven't had time to study Finnish since I've been browsing for hotels and digital cameras. Phew!!!

I'm not really good at waiting for hotel confirmation ha ha ha ha...THANKS for your kind words. I'm now more excited than tensed he he he he...

WaterLearner: Well, we're actually lazy travellers who don't want to be rushed here and there. I've been to Singapore once before, so I don't feel the need to be too crazy when I'm there, but this is hubby's first time, so I want to make sure that he can see everything he wants to see he he...

If you can pop by after work, that'd be GREAT, Karen! ;-D

    Nyumix: THANKSSSS, Put!!! ;-D
