Some Pics

Finally here are some pics I've taken using my mobile camera. The quality isn't too good since it's only 2 MP if I'm not mistaken he he he...but you get the idea anyway.

First pic: here are the letters I made for the teenagers' section in the library. Now I'm doing the ones for the kiddies.

One funny thing was that when I was putting the letters on the shelves one time, two kids came by with their mother and as their mother was browsing the books in the adults' section, the curious kids kept on looking at my direction, probably wondering what I was doing HI HI HI HI HI HI...But whenever I looked back at them, they'd go away or turn away LOL LOL!!!

Second pic: Taken last year ha ha ha ha...just wanna show you that there are crazy people here in Sodankylä LOL LOL!!!

Third pic: This is what I DISLIKE THE MOST in winter...when the roads and sidewalks become laced with ice. Yikes!!! THANK GOD they created sole spikes!!! PHEW!!! ;-D

Fourth pic: Just one pic of VERY gorgeous flowers in my MIL's house when we visited them one day - I didn't bring my digicam that day he he...

Last pic: This one was taken a few days ago when I was walking home from the library. Yes, the sky is like that. Even today the sky is SO gorgeously pinkish he he he he...

  1. Amel,
The roads really do look slick and slippery. Does your town or even Finland ever put sand on the road to help make it easier to drive on and not as slick. We have this stuff called "roadsalt" which actively eats away the ice so it's not so slippery, do they use that?

  2. Vince: Oh yes, they do put sand, but sometimes when it's sunny during the day, there're always some parts of the village that are so slippery.

  4. I love the hue in the sky of the last picture. Somewhat serene and yet filled with energy.

  5. When you look back the children and they run away i got surprised. I dunno why but something inside me says you get on very well with children and there's no reason for them to run away! Regarding your relation with the little princess whom u mentioned in your previous post. ;)

  6. Blur Ting: Yes, they're so lovely, aren't they? ;-D

    WaterLearner: It's a fascinating scene indeed! ;-D

Jul: Glad you enjoyed them, Jul! ;-D

Burcu: HE HE HE HE...Where did you get that idea from? I don't have many experiences with kids, actually. I've always thought I wouldn't be able to handle kids well...when I moved to Finland, we visited my hubby's cousin's place and his daughter for some reason likes playing with me.

Only then I realized that I may not be that bad HA HA HA HA HA...Well, I know one BIG reason why she likes playing with me: because I never say no. I just do whatever it is she wants and I follow along, especially before I learnt Finnish and I couldn't really talk to her HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...

  8. I love love love the letters! And the last pic looks SO romantic, even though the fact that what I dislike the msot about winter is... winter LOL The people who ride a bike in the snow are crazy, though I used to know a guy like that so I'm not 'too' surprised...
