I've just made my first phone call in Finnish. Why? I'm going to tell you tomorrow, so stay tuned, OK? I'm just very glad that it went well. ;-D
Speaking of our holiday plans, last night my SIL called me to ask about our plan for next week. I told her that we were waiting for their confirmation first and then we'd think about our plans. Other than that, hubby still needs to fix the car's exhaust pipe before we can go anywhere far. I hope it'll be fixed soon!!!
So the rough holiday plan is like this (hopefully everything goes well!!!):
1. Sodankylä - Oulu
It takes about 4,5 hours to go to Oulu. We're going to stay there a night on Monday. I've never been there before, so it's going to be interesting. Oulu is like the university city in Finland he he he...
2. Oulu - Pori
It takes about 6,5 hours to go to Pori. We're going to stay there at hubby's brother's place for 2 nights (Tuesday and Wednesday). My SIL told me that next week there's a jazz festival in Pori and it's such a big event. They want to go to a free concert of local musicians and bands on Wednesday evening. Upon hearing the word "free of charge", my ears perked up and I was instantly interested HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...
My SIL told me that she'd also take me shopping around. Since there's summer sale everywhere, it's such a WONDERFUL idea! After all, I still want to buy some things for my family he he he...I'm GLAD I haven't bought too many things yet, so we'll see what cheap things I can find there ho ho ho...
3. Pori - Helsinki - Pori
It takes about 3 hours to go to Helsinki. We're probably going there on Thursday to go to Linnanmäki, an amusement park there. The last time hubby went there was 30 years ago ha ha ha ha ha...My SIL's youngest son wants to go there, too, so we're probably going there with him. I've never been there before, so it's going to be fun, even though I'm afraid of going on some types of rides that go round and round and round since it's VERY easy for me to feel sick he he he he he...
4. Pori - Sodankylä
We're probably going to go back to Pori the same day, so we'll spend another night in Pori and then we'll start a long journey back home to Sodankylä (around 11 hours).
Okay, time for me to blog-hop and then relax for the rest of the day he he he...
Hope your holiday/vacation goes well!
ReplyDeleteAmel, I really like the new way your blog looks. It looks like all that effort to change the appearance of the blog has paid off.
Congrats to your first call in Finnish!!! I'm always really nervous when I have to speak on the phone in a foreign language (though I'm not a huge fan of phone calls alltogether...)
ReplyDeleteAnd your holiday sounds great, especially the festival part (music festivals are always fantastic!) and the amusement park part (I loooove those... I'm so childish, I know, but I don't really care :))
Well done, your first Finnish phone call! I'm waiting for the reason now?
ReplyDeleteLove the sound of your holiday plans.
Come on hubby, fix the exhaust!
Vince: GLAD you enjoy this new template! ;-D I also hope the holiday goes well he he he...
ReplyDeleteBitter Chocolate: Me, too! I was nervous! ;-D And I'm also not a huge fan of phone calls. I prefer emails HA HA HA HA...
Nah, you're not childish! You're childlike and it's good! ;-D
The World According to Me: I've written down the reason now he he he...And yes, hubby fixed the exhaust pipe yesterday already and booked the hotel room HE HE HE...
