As promised, here are some more pictures from Lasaretti and Hupisaaret and the surrounding area, plus some snapshots while we walked around in Oulu.
The first few pictures were taken during our walk after we arrived in Lasaretti Hotel. Remember the view from our window? Here are the views from different angles while we took the walk across the bridge and back he he he...
I don't know why but I LOVE this tree so much he he he he he...
Here's a view of the hotel from across the river:
After walking around from the bridge and back, we decided to walk to Hupisaaret and these are the things we saw there...
These next two flowers are as huge as the one above!!!
We rested for a little while on a park bench and took this pic he he he...The sun was SO bright that Arttu was frowning even though he had his sunglasses on he he he...
Saw a kid with his Mommy feeding these ducks (are they called wild ducks?). I was SO happy 'coz I could take a pic from nearby hi hi hi...
After our walk and swim, I got hungry (again), so we walked downtown to find some food as it was already close to 10 pm.
First pic: a funeral office. Arttu shook his head in disbelief when I took this picture. After a while he got tired of my taking pictures all the time HA HA HA HA HA...He didn't complain or tell me to hurry. He just waited with a certain look on his face hi hi hi hi...Good boy!!!
Oh yeah, one thing I notice from the big cities is the GRAFFITI here and there! I found that annoying, you know? And notice that the street name label is put on the building, not on a pole. I've never seen anything like that when I lived in Indo.
This picture is a High School building:
This one is a picture of the Ammattikoulu:
Here's a pic of a second hand store and a Chinese resto right before the church downtown:
Here are two pics of a church in Oulu from different angles:
And finally we arrived at our destination: a kebab resto that opens until morning. So we bought these two large pizzas and I took half to the hotel to eat on the way to Pori he he he he...
And last but not least...during our long car trip we held hands a few times and Arttu kissed my hand a few times, as well (unexpectedly!). Mmmmm...he can be SO romantic sometimes HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...
Anyway, more pics to come later! I'm going to blog-hop only tomorrow, OK? Right now I just want to relax he he he he...
Wah,so romantic! The pizzas are huge, you two can eat all that?
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to see that it's like daytime even though it was 10pm. Amazing! How to sleep like that?
I'd love a pizza like those in the pictures (I'd probably even be able to eat the entire thing these days LOL)
ReplyDeleteMust have been a wonderful trip!
The picture in the funeral office sign is quite intriguing LOL

ReplyDeleteEh, I think all my comments are on your friendster fotos, haha!
Blur Ting: NOOOO, I only ate half of it and then I brought back to the hotel the other half to eat on the way to Pori he he he...
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to sleep while it's dark outside. We have plenty of good drapes or blinds. ;-D
Bitter Chocolate: LOL!!! After your Tae-bo week, I don't wonder if you can eat the whole thing he he he...
Jul: Yup, on normal days one is enough for 1,5 days ha ha ha...
Fei: Yeah, we were glad it was such lovely weather! ;-D
What a sweet picture the last one is.
ReplyDeleteI love that tree too, and the large flowers and large pizzas!
Looks like you both had a great time.
Hi Amel.. That duck is a Mallard Duck. I love them.. really beautiful blue green heads that the males have.. the females are boringly brown....
ReplyDeleteA couple of lovely pics of the two of you together in these blogs! I like the one of you in the park with the new funky hat!
