Today it rained a long time, even though it wasn't raining cats and dogs. What I love the most about this is that when it stopped raining, I could take pics of the flowers and leaves with droplets of water on them. They look VERY fresh he he he he...
Here are some flower pics I took last week:
Unfortunately last week was VERY windy, so it was hard for me to take close-up pics of these flowers since they kept on swaying with the wind. But still I think they look GORGEOUS, don't you think so?
I took this pic at around midnight, just when I was about to go to sleep, to show you how bright it was out there during summer in Lapland when the sun is shining outside. After all, the sun doesn't set for a while here in Lapland during summer. ;-D
And here are some pics I took today:
Here's a pic of me. While I was taking the pic, a sääski (that's what people here call the "mosquito" that tried to suck my blood!) happened to be in the picture, too. So just in case you wonder what they look like, here goes. You can click the image to view a bigger version.
Anyway, in the countryside or near forests they are EVERYWHERE!!! So we have to rub some mosquito repellant if we don't want to be bothered by those blood-sucking monsters he he he...Before I moved here, I had never thought that there would be mosquitoes of any sort here in Lapland.
Today's dessert at my MIL's: nougat vanilla ice cream and FRESH strawberries HO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO...VERY yummy!!!!!!!
Okay, now time for me to relax. Tomorrow we should pack for our car trip and rest well. However, I've written down a couple of posts using draft blogger so that my blog isn't empty during the week I'm away from home he he he...
P.S. I talked a lot with my MIL today and she said that my Finnish was very good hi hi hi...I know my Finnish isn't that good (yet, maybe in a few years' time I'd reach that point), but it's just nice to be able to talk to her without having to ask hubby to help, you know? ;-D
hmmm yummy, ice cream with strawberry hehehe :)
ReplyDeleteHi, wow, you in Lapland...remember seeing the country on TV's 'Lonely Planet'...showed how they used reindeers for work and play, including racing them.

The flowers are so pretty! Even the strawberries are so gorgeously ripe there. The sun doesn't set even at midnight! You have such a long day, no wonder you can get so many things done in one day :-)

ReplyDeleteEh you mean that you always have sun shine all day long, all days in summertime?!?!?! aaa? so confusing! You can work all day long then.. hahaha...

ReplyDeleteWoah, I wouldn't get any sleep at all with the sun shinning like crazy all night! And the pictures are stunning, I particularily like the first one and the last one (the last one with a flower in it, that is, although the dessert looks incredibly yummy too! :))
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the sun still shining at midnight!
Those strawberries look good enough to eat!

The World According to Me: Come here and you'll know how it feels hi hi hi hi hi...
Well, for me when it comes to Finnish, the biggest compliment ever is for me to understand most of what other people is saying and being able to express myself. It feels GOOD to be able to communicate, albeit I still can't express myself too much, but as long as I can keep a conversation going, then it's good enough. ;-D
Imelda: THANKS for your compliment!!! Glad you enjoyed the pics! ;-D
Michelle: Glad you loved the pics and the flowers he he he he...Those strawberries look very yummy, eh? ;-D
