I've seen American Idol, Indonesian Idol, and Finnish Idol. These days they're showing Finnish Idol preliminary rounds on TV. One interesting thing I noticed while watching these preliminary rounds is the fact that they don't show anybody cursing or badmouthing the judges after they get out of the room.

I've seen MANY Americans and Indonesian cursing and badmouthing the judges once they get out of the room and once the judges say that they're not good, EVEN though it's the truth that they can't sing.

I don't know if it's because people in Finland don't curse or badmouth on TV or they cut off that portion or because it's not the "custom" for Finnish people to do such a thing. I'd love to find out the truth about this...anyone care to share some insight with me? HE HE HE HE HE...

  1. The auditions are what I like the best about American Idol. I'm sure some of the curseouts are staged for the entertainment style. These folks probably have drinks with Simon and go over what they are going to do.

Sounds like the Finnish folks don't need that kind of "entertainment."

  2. 74wixygrad: that so? Well, I don't think those are staged for Indonesian Idol, so I'm pretty sure that at least some of those people in Indonesian Idol auditions are just sore losers he he he he...

THANKS for your insight. Maybe you're right about Finnish folks. :-))) Have a BLESSED weekend!

  3. I miss Indonesian Idol.. hikz..hikz..

  4. the finalist of indonesian idol is now on my blog hehehehe :)
The judges on dutch idols say it honestly that they're not good, but once they(the candidate) out of the room, some of them did well badmouth, but another just cried.... that was all i've seen on tv, about the truth i didn't know exactly :)

Anyway, in my point of view, it's quite natural to let out their frustrations because sometimes the judges did say something that they were not supposed to say like their body size or facial features.

For instance when the judges for the reality talent show from my country went to Indonesia for auditions, one of the judges was so harsh and sarcastic. He asked if the girls can lose weight, and when the girls enthusiastically replied 'yes', then he asked them to come back next year.

If they don't feel the candidates are good enough, just say it straight to the point. Don't you think? So, after the audition, when the girls were interviewed, they commented angrily, "Judges nya jelek2!!!" Hahahahaa...

However, I did feel it's ridiculous when some of the candidates cursed or badmouthed the judges when the whole world can hear that they sing totally out of tune! Hehee... To me, it's actually quite entertaining muahahahaa...

I thought everywhere is the same, but I'm surprised when you mentioned about the way Finnish people take it. Good example. :D

  8. Choc Mint Girl: No problemo, Crystal he he...

THANKS for sharing your POV. Indeed if the judges say something harsh or inappropriate, then it's okay to say out loud what we think about he he he...
