3BT: September 27 and 28, 2007

1. Hubby came home and brought some pizza (I had been craving for some!!!! LUCKY ME!!!).

2. Receiving two SMSes from my future sister-in-law (brother's girlfriend), asking about my Finnish classes. She's SO attentive! ;-D

3. Saw a touching scene while watching X-Men 3: the last duel between Wolverine versus Jean Grey.

Jean: "So you'd die for them?"
Wolverine: "No, not for them. For you. For you."

Then Jean's eyes suddenly looked tender and she said, "Save me." Then Wolverine said "I love you" and killed her.

AAAUUUGGGHHHH...it was such a ROMANTIC and TRAGIC scene hi hi hi...

4. I made strawberry-banana pie (my first attempt) and it seemed to be pretty good. I haven't tasted it yet, but my hubby can't wait to taste it HO HO HO HO HO...I can't wait to bring some for my in-laws tomorrow he he he he he...

5. I borrowed another Finnish children's book from the library and I'm SO HAPPY 'coz I understood four long sentences on the first page without having to use any dictionary. YAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!! It feels like some darkness is lifted from my mind hi hi hi hi hi...

6. Having an opportunity to encourage someone. ;-D

  1. Yeah I like X-Men :)
The pie sounds great! Ain't bananas expensive there? They have to be sent from Spain or the Phillippines right?

  2. Mother Hen: Glad you like X-Men, too!!! Actually bananas are one of the cheapest kinds of fruit here. Sometimes there are special prices here, so I always buy fruit that's on a special price or if not, the cheapest one available. Mangoes, avocadoes, grapes, grapefruit are much more expensive than bananas. Usually bananas are sold around €1.29 per kg (if there's a sale, it can be cheaper). Other types of fruit can cost starting from €2.49 per kg.

  5. Random: Sure, Amber, take a piece of it. As usual with me, the form is not perfect, but the taste is okay. I just think it needs a bit more sugar he he he...I dislike too sweet stuff, so sometimes I make things that are a bit less sweet than they should be.

Anyone care to take a bite? Go ahead. ;-D

Vince: AWWW...THANKS, Vince!!!! ;-D Yeah, it's always nice to see the face behind the blog he he he he...

You, too, have a BLESSED weekend! ;-D

  8. I love banana/strawberry stuff (yogurt, smoothies) so I hope this tastes as good as it sounds!

And yeah for reading those sentences, you are coming along fast! How many languages will you know once you understand Finnish?

  9. Shinade: OK, Jackie, I'll check it out tomorrow. I'm too tired right now. Just got back from my in-laws he he he...

Choc Mint Girl: I'm afraid it's already shapeless 'coz I didn't really use a pie dish ha ha ha ha...

Vic: It's okay, though I think I could've done more to make it taste better (like adding a bit more sugar in it HE HE HE HE...)

Well, I only know Indonesian and English so far...so Finnish is my second foreign language he he he...

The problem I have now is...I can get by much better reading THAN listening. If my listening skill is coming along as fast as my reading skill, then I'll be SOOOOOOOO happy he he he he he he...
