I don't know the whole story yet, but I'm sure I'll hear about it later. I want to call my brother but I know he's probably busy preparing for the funeral and everything and my parents will be busy, too. So I'd better call later on after everything's done.
Well, he's resting in peace now. Goodbye, Uncle!!! You'll be missed!!! See you in heaven!
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:5
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Amel, I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. That was such a long time for no one to find him. I hope you and the rest of your family are okay.
ReplyDeleteShinade: THANKS SO MUCH for your prayers, Jackie. No worries. I'm doing fine now. Dunno about my parents, though.
ReplyDeleteKathy: Yeah, I just got another SMS from my brother. He said that his body was already starting to...you know...because he was found too late. :-((( I was shocked but now I'm OK. Hopefully my parents aren't too shocked.
Amel!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your uncle! When you lived in Indonesia, were you close to him?? What was your strongest memory.
Wow, he was younger than 3 of my brothers! How sad!
He's in my prayers.
Cordially yours, Vince
Vince: THANK YOU for your kind words and prayers. Well, he used to work for years in Jakarta, but then after he retired, he moved back to Bandung. He retired about 1.5 years ago. Only then we began to talk more often. My Mom was really close to him. My Mom was his sparring partner in chit-chatting. :-))))
ReplyDeleteI know my Mom's gonna miss him so much.
My strongest memories were our conversations (when I was going to visit Finland for the first time and when I was going to get married) and when he gave me money once when he found out I was going to send my parents off to Singapore...he helped me raise more than half of the budget I had calculated, so I'm ALWAYS grateful to him for that.
Well, yeah, it is sad, but now he's got no more earthly burdens and at least he didn't get sick for months or something.
I'm sorry to hear about your uncle... It would be a hard time for you and your family...
ReplyDeleteSudden deaths like this are always a shock and bring it home to us all how you never know when your time cometh!
ReplyDeleteAlways be read and know you have nothing left unsaid.
Love you Amel!
My cute, teensyweensy, froggy loving friend.. :D
Jeanne: THANKS for your kind words, Jeanne. I think it's gonna be the hardest for my Mom and my Dad and his siblings.
ReplyDeleteMrs Arctic Rainbow: HE HE HE...You're right about that, Michelle. These days I'm DETERMINED in speaking up my mind when it comes to good things. I won't hold them inside me anymore. No use.
I LOVE YOU TOO, my Fun-Loving Outgoing-Radiant-Bright-Cheerful-Rainbow. ;-D
Oh, so sorry, Amel. Condolence. May his soul rest in peace.
