Whatever the problem is, I hope it's fixed soon 'coz it IS annoying. GRRRRRR!!!! Anyhow, let me share this wonderful short story from this site:
The Rose Within
A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.
He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.
So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.
We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.
Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.
This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.
Hi Amel,
ReplyDeleteYou have been very prompt with replying to mine so you are okay in my book!!
Well at elast you're getting comments. I've just done a post grumbling about what it takes to get people to leave a comment on a blog !
ReplyDeleteOh, and you've contributed 8 cents to my passive income from Helium ! Thanks ! I'll be rich at the rate this is going ...
Frasy: See? I got Karen's comment in my inbox, but not yours, Frasy. Weird stuff. Anyway...I have to be wary about this weird incident still then. Gladly I'm unemployed so I have plenty of time to check every post he he he...
ReplyDeleteKaren: Ahhh...sometimes people do read posts but not leaving comments.
LOL about the 8 cents!!! I haven't written anything else there for a long time, esp. since I started getting paid for blogging he he he...
I'm not sure about the answer to your question. I don't have mine set to get comments to my email. Is there a simple way to set that up for any comments left on any past post?
ReplyDeleteHey Amelia,
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have been experiencing the same thing: it's damn annoying!!!
I have already sent a complaint to blogger, but as usual: no reply, no explanation *nodding*! They are cramping my style LOL...
Cheers
Kathy: Yes, there is. You just click on "Settings" then choose "Comments" then on the long list there, you can see:
ReplyDeleteComment Notification Address
And you only need to fill in your email addy there so that they'll notify you about any comment. ;-D
Max: You've experienced the same thing, too? Then it's blogger!!!! Hope the bug or whatever is fixed soon then!!!!
It just started happening to me too. Hope it gets fixed soon.
ReplyDeleteI really loved the inspirational story there is a lot of truth to it.
Kasper: Yeah, it's annoying, isn't it? Glad you enjoyed the story. :-))))
ReplyDeleteIt's happening to me too and boy oh boy it's annoying!! and I also liked the story :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Amel! I think it's still happening because when I checked my email, there were only 3 comments, but when I signed into my blogger account, apparently there were 8 comments!!
ReplyDeleteStacy: Glad you enjoyed the story. Yeah, it is annoying indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteChoc Mint Girl: Yeah, now we have to check on our posts manually he he he he...
