Lapland in January 2008

Now let me share some pictures I took this month.

Before that, here's a short video clip I took when it was snowing heavily last week. Well, not too interesting, but just wanna let you know that for those of you who've lived their lives in tropical countries, you needn't really envy us who live in snowy countries. One of the troubles living in a snowy country is that whenever you want to go anywhere, you have to spend time cleaning up your car first from the frozen snow HE HE HE HE HE...But I'm loving it here since I'm not the one who has to do it HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA...

The first picture was taken a week ago when we went to my in-laws. She made strawberry soup dessert and this time she decided to decorate the top with some candies and white chocolate HE HE HE HE...

The next two pictures were taken in Kelujärvi yesterday. Look at how much snow there is!!!

Next two pics: taken today. Sunny weather but it was -18'C outside this morning he he...

  6. Mark and Jake took our friend Steve to Luosto (40kms from Sodankylä) today so that he could go skidooing. They went on a snow shoe trek with our French friend Pascal, who lives in Luosto..whilst Steve did that skidooing.

It was a gorgeous day today, wasnt it. The sky all pink and lilac...and it was even more so in Luosto apparently.

We have some gorgeous pics of their walk on the fell, with both the dogs...and I thought that I would send you some to share here, if youd like...especially of Dexter and Fluffy.

  7. The strawberry soup looked very refreshing. I thought you wrote 'candles' instead of candies he he he... Silly me!! ;D

The snow is so thick! I don't know why, but now the snow reminds of dandruff!! 'Beautiful dandruff' hi hi hi hi hi hi...

Mrs Arctic Rainbow: Ahhhh...so Steve's enjoying himself, eh? ;-D

Hey, I'd LOVE to get pics of Luosto, esp. since everybody loves Dexter HE HE HE HE HE...I'll email you later then.

Choc Mint Girl: Candles? LOL LOL!!! Well, it'd be dangerous if she decorated it with candles. The strawberry soup was refreshing indeed. ;-D

You know what? When I first got here and I watched falling snow, I did think to myself, "Dandruff was falling from the sky." So you're not the only one who thinks that way HE HE HE HE HE HE HE...

La delirante: GLAD you enjoyed the pics. You too, enjoy your week! ;-D

  11. Blur Ting: It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be...as long as I have enough warm layers of clothes. :-)))) Well, of course if you go straight from the tropical country to -19'C, then it would probably be too cold to bear, but then if you get a chance to live in a cold country long enough, I think you'll survive he he he...
